FPL Player VS GW26: Leeds provide goals for Salah and Fernandes
This looks at the next opponent of Fantasy Premier League’s (FPL) top players, assessing whether they have a good or bad record against them. Of course, it’s just for fun and doesn’t take into account factors such as the player moving clubs. A lot can change in the years since Striker A scored a hat-trick against Team B. However, if a player enjoys playing at a certain ground against a particular centre back, that could be useful information for the FPL community. We look at the best player vs for Gameweek 26.
(NB. Premier League matches only. Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t included because his 2003-09 appearances were too long ago to be relevant)
PLAYER VS OPPOSITION
- This is a Double Gameweek for eight teams.
- Two of Bruno Fernandes’ meetings against Leeds have brought 17 and 20 points, the latter being a hat-trick in Gameweek 1.
- Mohamed Salah also enjoys facing Leeds, with his own opening day hat-trick (last season) contributing to four goals from two starts.
- This campaign, his Gameweek 1 brought a goal, two assists and 17 points against Norwich.
- If Diogo Jota does get rotated, he can still deliver against Norwich. He has 24 points from his last two times against them despite only playing 60 and 63 minutes.
- 29 points and four goals have come from Danny Ings’ last three versus Watford.
- Son Heung-min scored 11, 11 and 12 points in his last three meetings with Burnley.
- Richarlison has goals in each of his last four against Southampton, including 11 points in Gameweek 1.
- It feels like a long time ago but Michail Antonio scored and registered two assists at Newcastle on the opening day.
- Harry Kane hasn’t scored against Man City in his last seven meetings.
