Best players to buy

FPL Planning for Gameweeks 32-34
  • Newcastle – With a double in Gameweek 32, and a great fixture in Blank Gameweek 34, Newcastle could be a great team to invest in. In goal Nick Pope (£4.9m) could be an option, but coming in cheaper and with headed goal threat, centre-back Dan Burn (£4.5m) could be the standout option. Striker Alexander Isak (£9.5m) could be considered an essential, whilst midfielders Jacob Murphy (£5.1m) and Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) are alternative routes into the frontline.
  • Crystal Palace – The Eagles double twice in the next two Gameweeks, with more fixtures than any other side. In defence, it is clear that Daniel Munoz (£5.2m) is the best option after his goal in the previous round. However, those wanting cheaper could go for goalkeeper Dean Henderson (£4.6m). The Crystal Palace attack is more appealing though, with penalty taker and striker Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m) being the best of the bunch. FPL managers should also consider midfielders Ismaila Sarr (£5.7m) and Eberechi Eze (£6.8m).
  • Arsenal – The Gooners may Blank in Gameweek 34, but they also have three good fixtures in their next two rounds. The injury to Gabriel makes centre-back William Saliba (£6.4m) a better option, but goalkeeper David Raya (£5.5m) comes in cheaper. Going even cheaper, FPL managers could opt for Jakub Kiwior (£4.8m). Penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£10.4m) returned from injury with a bang recently, so he should become a priority. A much less expensive pick in attack is fellow midfielder Leandro Trossard (£6.7m).

More Great Picks

  • Aston Villa – As well as doubling in Gameweek 33, Aston Villa also face Southampton in the next round. At the back, the most nailed for gametime could be goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (£5m). Defender Ezri Konsa (£4.4m) could also play plenty of minutes during the period ahead. Midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.5m) is clearly the safest option in terms of minutes in attack. He also bagged three returns in his previous two games. Midfielder Marcus Rashford (£6.7m) and striker Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) could be great alternatives.
  • Manchester City – Manchester City are another side who double in Gameweek 33 but then Blank in Gameweek 34. Josko Gvardiol (£6.1m) offers both defensive and attacking potential from left-back. Cheaper defensive options include defenders Abdukodir Khusanov (£5m) and goalkeeper Ederson (£5.3m). The standout option in the attacking line could be Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush (£7.5m) based on minutes and form. Midfielder Savio (£6.2m) is a nice cheap option too! The Brazilian bagged a nine-point return in Gameweek 30.

Should we play a chip

This is a perfect time for FPL managers to play chips, so lets take a look at the ones we could play:

  • Wildcard – Setting up for the period ahead with a wildcard could be hugely helpful, especially for those who want to prep for activating a second chip during this time.
  • Assistant Manager – Playing the assistant manager chip in Gameweek 32 could be hugely beneficial, starting with either Newcastle’ Eddie Howe or Crystal Palace’ Oliver Glasner.
  • Bench Boost – Setting up for a bench boost in either Gameweek 32 or Gameweek 33 could be ideal. Those weeks could be the last best opportunities to use the chip.
  • Triple Captain – Using the triple captain chip on Alexander Isak in Gameweek 32 is something many managers are considering.
  • Free Hit – Using the Free Hit in Gameweek 34 could be beneficial. This would give managers the ability to invest big on doubling teams then Free Hit them out in Blank Gameweek 34.
