Last modified date

The season continues so in this article we take a look at some FPL planning for Gameweeks 26-28. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area we highlight the best teams to invest in, the best players to buy and if we should use a chip.

Our FPL planning for Gameweeks 26-28 can be extremely helpful to fantasy managers. Having a good idea of which teams to invest in and which players to buy could help you claim a successful start season. So, let’s dive in!

Gameweek 26-28 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

FPL Planning for Gameweeks 26-28

Who has the best fixtures?

Brentford, Chelsea, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Brighton all rank among the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Manchester City, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and West Ham all rank among the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.

Best assets to buy

FPL Planning for Gameweeks 26-28
  • Brentford – Matches against Leicester, Everton and Aston Villa could mean potential for Brentford assets. Although not hugely convincing in defence, goalkeeper Mark Flekken (£4.4m) could be their standout pick. In attack, midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) remains the best option. However, striker Yoane Wissa (£6.3m) is a cheap alternative.
  • Chelsea – The Blues may not be in great form currently, but as well as Aston Villa, they also clash with promoted sides Southampton and Leicester. The safest pick in defence for minutes is Levi Colwill (£4.4m). Midfielder Cole Palmer (£11.2m) has been short of form recently, but has been fantastic for most of the season. The injury to Nicolas Jackson could see an opportunity for midfielder Christopher Nkunku (£5.7m).
  • Fulham – The Cottagers come up against Crystal Palace, Wolves and Brighton. Full-back Antonee Robinson (£5.1m) has managed a huge 10 attacking returns already this season. In attack, and scoring twice in his previous four matches, Emile Smith Rowe (£5.2m) could cautch the eye of FPL managers. Leading the attack is striker Raul Jimenez (£5.6m), who is also in good form.

Who else should we consider?

FPL Planning for Gameweeks 26-28
  • Crystal Palace – The Eagles come up against Fulham, Aston Villa and Ipswich before they blank in Gameweek 29. In defence, with plenty of attacking threat is full-back Alex Munoz (£4.8m). A cheaper route at the back however is goalkeeper Dean Henderson (£4.5m). The standout attacker is without a doubt striker and penalty taker Jean Philippe Mateta (£7.3m).
  • Everton – Manchester United, Brentford and Wolves are up next for a side who are unbeaten in their last five games. FPL managers could decide to back cheap full-back Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.4m). Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (£5.1m) has also been a great pick recently. With Illman Ndiaye out due to injury, the standout is striker Beto (£4.9m), who has netted in his previous three matches.
  • Bournemouth – The Cherries are in great form and face Wolves, Brighton and Tottenham in their next three games. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga (£4.5m) could be a cheap pick, but full-back Milos Kerkez (£5m) has more attacking threat. In attack, Bournemouth have several brilliant midfielder options, including penalty taker Justin Kluivert (£6m), Antoine Semenyo (£5.7m) and Dango Outtaro (£5.1m).

Should We Use a Chip?

Coming off the back off back-to-back double Gameweeks, many will have used a chip, or still have one active. With just single Gameweeks ahead, it could be best to hang on to any available chips until the future Blank and Double Gameweeks arrive.
