Last modified date

The season continues so in this article we take a look at some FPL planning for Gameweeks 25-27. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area we highlight the best teams to invest in, the best players to buy and if we should use a chip.

Our FPL planning for Gameweeks 25-27 can be extremely helpful to fantasy managers. Having a good idea of which teams to invest in and which players to buy could help you claim a successful start season. So, let’s dive in!

Gameweek 25-27 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

FPL Planning for Gameweeks 25-27

Who has the best fixtures?

Aston Villa and Liverpool rank at the top of the fixture ticker. This is mostly due to the fact they have a double Gameweek in Gameweek 25.

Brentford, Bournemouth, and Manchester United all rank among the remaining top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Newcastle, Manchester City, Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Southampton all rank among the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.

Best assets to buy

FPL Planning for Gameweeks 25-27
  • Liverpool – With four fixtures in the next three rounds, investing in Liverpool will be key. Those looking to play the assistant manager chip should of course consider Arne Slot (£1.5m). In defence, there are doubts around the fitness of Trent Alexander-Arnold, so it could be wise to back the likes of goalkeeper Alisson Becker (£5.5m) or centre-back Virgil Van Dijk (£6.4m) in defence. Midfielder Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) is a shoo-in at this point, but also in great form is striker Cody Gakpo (£7.6m).
  • Aston Villa – Aston Villa also have four fixtures in the next three Gameweeks. For those looking in defence then Ezri Konsa (£4.4m) could be the safest in terms of minutes. Full-back Lucas Digne (£4.6m) has also been excellent at creating big chances this season. Midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.6m) could be the standout attacker if striker Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) continues to struggle with his recent minor injury. FPL managers will also be monitoring new signing and midfielder Marcus Rashford (£6.6m). Their standout pick over the next weeks though could well be manager Unai Emery (£0.8m).
  • Brentford – The Bees may not have a double Gameweek ahead, but they face some of the worst defences in the league ahead. Although defensively poor this season, their attack should be an area FPL managers look to with excitement. Brentford’s standout pick is penalty taker Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) due to his consistency this campaign. But, striker Yoane Wissa (£6.3m) has also proven deadly in front of goal, and comes in considerably cheaper than his teammate.

Who else should we consider?

  • Bournemouth – Bournemouth assets could do very well with games against Southampton, Wolves and Brighton in their next three. From a defensive perspective, centre-back Dean Huijsen (£4.4m) comes in nice and cheap. Although, with much more attacking threat, full-back Milos Kerkez (£4.9m) could be a more exciting option. Penalty taker Justin Kluivert (£5.9m) has been one of the best assets in the game recently for points earned. But, fellow midfielder Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) could also be a fantastic option.
  • Manchester United – Far from convincing defensively, it’s their attackers could hold appeal for the upcoming fixtures. Penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) has proven to be one of their most effective assets. But, for much cheaper, fellow midfielder Amad Diallo (£5.6m) could be an alternative pick. His recent 20-point return shows how much potential he has.
  • Crystal Palace – The Eagles are still within a good period of fixtures. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson (£4.5m) remains a great price, but the attacking Alex Munoz (£4.8m) has proven his attacking threat in defence as of late. The standout selection in the attack is no doubt striker and penalty taker Jean Philippe Mateta (£7.3m), who has managed six goals in his previous five matches.

Should We Use a Chip?

It could be a brilliant time to use a chip in FPL. One chip managers could consider is triple captain. Mohamed Salah has a fantastic double against Wolves and Aston Villa from an attacking perspective in Gameweek 25.

FPL managers may also be tempted to trigger the assistant manager chip. It could be wise to start by using it on either Unai Emery or Arne Slot in Gameweek 25, then moving it on in Gameweek 26.

In terms of the bench boost, free hit and wildcard, it could be wise to hold onto them as we head towards big double and blank Gameweeks.
