Our FPL planning for Gameweeks 23-25 can be extremely helpful to fantasy managers. Having a good idea of which teams to invest in and which players to buy could help you claim a successful start season. So, let’s dive in!
Gameweek 23-25 Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Who has the best fixtures?
Liverpool and Everton make up the top two sides on the fixture ticker. This is mostly due to the fact they have a Double Gameweek in 24.
Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Southampton also rank among the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.
Who has the worst fixtures?
Manchester City, Wolves, Ipswich, Leicester and West Ham all rank among the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.
Best Players to Buy
- Liverpool – Liverpool’ double Gameweek 24 and their fine form makes them the best side to invest in for the period ahead. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker (£5.4m) is one of the cheapest picks in defence, with centre-back Ibrahima Konate (£5.1m) being the cheapest. The standout defender however is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m) who dominates in terms of attacking threat. Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) should be a shoo-in at this point, but fellow midfielder Luis Diaz (£7.5m) could be an alternative midfielder option. In-game forward Cody Gakpo (£7.4m) could be who managers look to though, based on his gametime recently.
- Everton – The Toffees have done little to convince recently, but they have proven they can be solid defensively this season. Between the sticks is Jordan Pickford (£5m), but the considerably cheaper full-back Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.3m) could catch the eye. Everton have been woeful offensively, but for those adamant about bringing in one of their attackers then forward Iliman Ndiaye (£5.4m) could be the better pick, especially in terms of minutes.
- Aston Villa – Fixtures against West Ham, Wolves and Ipswich, are likely to bring joy for Aston Villa assets. Full-back Lucas Digne (£4.6m) continues to impress with his distributions skills. An alternative at the back is the cheaper Ezri Konsa (£4.4m). Striker Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) remains a top option leading the attack, but many may be more inclined to go for midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.5m) based on his recent form. Some will also be keenly monitoring new signing Donyell Malen (£5.5m) after his move from Dortmund.
Who else should we consider?
- Crystal Palace – They meet with Brentford, Manchester United and Everton in their next three matches. In goal is Dean Henderson (£4.5m), who could be a good avenue into their defence. Full-back Alex Munoz (£4.8m) however is their most attacking defender in terms of expected goals recently. In attack whilst Ismaila Sarr (£5.8m) could be a cheap route into attack, fellow midfielder Eberechi Eze (£6.7m) has been more consistent recently. Leading the attack, and with four goals in his last three matches is penalty taker Jean Phillipe Mateta (£7.3m).
- Nottingham Forest – Maintaining excellent form recently, many will be looking to Nottingham Forest assets, and rightly so. None of their defensive picks offer considerable attacking threat, so opting for the cheapest defender Nico Williams (£4.4m) could be a good move. Even centre-back Murillo (£4.6m) could be a great long-term pick. Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.4m) could be a good pick in midfield, but a cheaper option in that position is Anthony Elanga (£5.3m). Striker and penalty taker Chris Wood (£7m) may well be the standout selection.
- Brentford – The Bees have some great fixtures ahead for the first time in some time, so their assets could hold huge potential. Defence isn’t a position that Brentford have maintained a good standard in, however, for those who still want to invest then goalkeeper Mark Flekken (£4.4m) is very cheap. Most managers will be looking to bring in penalty taker and midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m) due to his consistency this season. But, Yoane Wissa (£6.2m) ranks among the top forwards in the game for shot to goal conversion rate.
Should We Use a Chip?
Everton and Liverpool’ double Gameweek could signal a good opportunity to use a chip. Many could be considering triple captaining Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah (£13.7m), whilst others choose between activating the assistant manager chip on either Liverpool’ Arne Slot or Everton’ David Moyes.
Most managers will be holding onto the likes of Bench Boost, Free Hit, and Wildcard for a larger double Gameweek or Blank Gameweek.
