Gameweek 20-22 Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Who has the best fixtures?
Fulham, Chelsea, Manchester City, Southampton and Crystal Palace all rank amongst the top five sides with the easiest fixtures.
Who has the worst fixtures?
Brentford, Wolves, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Aston Villa all rank amongst the bottom five sides with the worst fixtures.
Best Players to Buy
- Fulham – The Cottagers face two of the three promoted sides next, along with a meeting against West Ham. At the back, a cheaper route into the defence is Timothy Castagne (£4.2m). However, with six assists already this season, fellow full-back Antonee Robinson (£4.9m) is the pick of the bunch. Although unconvincing recently in terms of output, both midfielder Alex Iwobi (£5.8m) and striker Raul Jimenez (£5.5m) could be the standout options in attack.
- Chelsea – With Crystal Palace, Wolves and Bournemouth up next, Chelsea remain a top team in terms of investment. A cheap way into their defence is Levi Colwill (£4.6m), who also bagged an assist in his most recent game. There are plenty of options in attack. Whilst the obvious picks include midfielder Cole Palmer (£11.4m) and striker Nicolas Jackson (£8.3m), some could go for midfielder Enzo Fernandez (£5.1m) as a budget option.
- Manchester City – Although out of form, Manchester City have a lovely schedule against the likes of West Ham, Brentford and Ipswich. Rico Lewis (£4.6m) continues to be the cheapest way into the Manchester City defence, but Josko Gvardiol (£6m) has much more attacking threat based on his numbers thus far this season. Whilst striker Erling Haaland (£14.8m) is under form and costs too much, midfielder Phil Foden (£9.2m) may have as much potential with a cheaper price-tag.
Who else should we consider?
- Crystal Palace – The Eagles face Chelsea and then Leicester and West Ham. Those struggling for a goalkeeper could look to Dean Henderson (£4.5m). However a more attacking option in defence is Daniel Munoz (£4.7m) who continues to sustain excellent expected goals data. Whilst Eberechi Eze (£6.6m) is in and out of the starting XI, fellow midfielder Ismaïla Sarr (£5.9m) has been in top form recently. Potential investors could also consider striker and penalty taker Jean Philippe Mateta (£7.2m).
- Newcastle – Meetings against Tottenham, Wolves and Bournemouth could mean potential for their assets. With Nick Pope injured, Martin Dubravka has helped his side keep three consecutive clean sheets. A safer option long-term in defence in terms of minutes could be full-back Lewis Hall (£4.7m). Striker Alexander Isak (£9.1m) continues to be a very popular asset. But for those that want to invest deeper in the attack then midfielders Anthony Gordon (£7.3m) and Jacob Murphy (£5m) could be great picks.
- Arsenal – The Gooners appear to be producing title contending form once again. So regardless of fixtures, they could be a great team to invest in. Goalkeeper David Raya (£5.6m) continues to be the most popular option between the sticks. FPL managers could opt for Jurrien Timber (£5.7m), but centre-backs Gabriel (£6.3m) and William Saliba (£6.3m) arguably have more attacking threat. With Bukayo Saka out with injury, fellow midfielders Martin Odegaard (£8.4m) and Gabriel Martinelli (£6.8m) could help fill a gap in attack. Striker Gabriel Jesus (£6.8m) has also caught the attention of managers with recent performances.
Should I use a chip?
The arrival of Gameweek 20 means FPL managers have been provided with their second and final wildcard chip of the campaign. Those who want to reshape their squad for the run ahead could well benefit from that.
In regards to the Free Hit, Triple Captain, and Bench Boost, waiting for Blank and Double Gameweeks to arrive could be a wise move. The most experienced FPL managers usually use their chips during those weeks.
The above also goes for the newly introduced assistant manager chip. However, Chelsea’ Enzo Maresca and Manchester City’ Pep Guardiola have great fixtures.
