Gameweek 18-20 Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Who has the best fixtures?
Manchester City, Liverpool, Southampton, Chelsea and Bournemouth all rank amongst the top five sides with the easiest fixtures.
Who has the worst fixtures?
Leicester, Ipswich, West Ham, Everton and Manchester United all rank amongst the bottom five sides with the worst fixtures.
Best Players to Buy
- Manchester City – The current Champions may be out of sorts but they have lovely fixtures ahead. At the back, the cheapest route in could be Rico Lewis (£4.6m), but Josko Gvardiol (£6.2m) has shown to have huge attacking threat. If budget allows, then striker and penalty taker Erling Haaland (£14.9m) could also have huge potential. A cheaper way to invest in the frontline is midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m).
- Liverpool – The Reds have been excellent this season, and that could continue with matches against Leicester, West Ham and Manchester United. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker (£5.4m) is the cheapest and most reliable pick at the back for gametime. With attacking threat, but costing considerably more is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.1m), who is the standout attacking option. Mohamed Salah (£13.4m) remains the pick of the bunch offensively, but midfielder Diogo Jota (£7.2m) could become an increasingly convincing option.
- Chelsea – The Blues are still a very good team to invest in, based on fixtures, league position and form. Defensive picks including goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.8m) and defender Levi Colwill (£4.6m) are the cheapest and most convincing in terms of gametime. Striker Nicolas Jackson (£8.3m) and midfielder Cole Palmer (£11.2m) are popular picks, with the latter considered an essential by many. However, another good route into the attack could well be Noni Madueke (£6.3m).
Who else should we consider?
- Bournemouth – The Cherries have been fantastic against tougher opposition recently, which suggests they have good potential in the rounds ahead. At the back, some may consider goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga (£4.5m), but full-back Milos Kerkez (£4.7m) offers considerable attacking threat. Albeit short of output recently Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) has been impressive on the eye, penalty taker Justin Kluivert (£5.5m) could take the edge however for FPL managers. Up top, Evanilson (£6.1m) is their best striker option for those looking to fill a gap in the forward line.
- Nottingham Forest – Nottingham Forest’ form makes them a very good side to invest in for their run ahead, especially when considering their price-tags. Goalkeeper Matz Sels (£4.7m) is a great option, but centre-back Nikola Milenkovic (£4.6m) has scored in his last two matches. In midfield, Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.3m) who has returned in his last two matches, could be a great pick. Spearheading the frontline penalty taker is Chris Wood (£6.6m), who has been in excellent form this season.
- Arsenal – The fixtures ahead suggest Arsenal have both defensive and offensive potential. David Raya (£5.6m) is the cheapest route into the defence, but centre-backs Gabriel (£6.2m) and William Saliba (£6.3m) have significant attacking threat from set pieces. Penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£10.6m) has been short of form recently, but remains their most consistent and explosive attacking option.
Should I use a chip?
For those managers who still hold the Wildcard chip, you have until Gameweek 19 to use it. With that in mind, it could be wise to use it for the fixture swings ahead.
In regards to the Free Hit, Triple Captain, and Bench Boost, waiting for Blank and Double Gameweeks to arrive could be a wise move. The most experienced FPL managers usually use their chips during those weeks.
The above also goes for the newly introduced assistant manager chip. However, both Liverpool’ Arsenal Mikel Arteta and Manchester City’ Pep Guardiola have potential in their next three games.
