Gameweek 14-16 Fixtures

Who has the best fixtures?

Aston Villa, Wolves, Ipswich, West Ham and Manchester City all rank amongst the top five sides with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Manchester United, Fulham, Everton, Nottingham Forest and Southampton all rank amongst the bottom five sides with the toughest fixtures.

Best players to buy

Aston Villa – Aston Villa have three great fixtures against Brentford, Southampton and Nottingham Forest in their next games. The cheapest route into the backline is Ezri Konsa (£4.4m), but some could opt for the more attacking Lucas Digne (£4.7m). In attack, the standout is still striker Ollie Watkins (£9m), but a cheaper way into the frontline could be midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.4m).

Wolves – Gary O’Neil’ men still have a fantastic schedule ahead. Goalkeeper Jose Sa (£4.3m) is one of the cheapest ways into the Wolves defence. Their most attacking asset at the back is full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.8m). Matheus Cunha (£7m) has been in excellent form recently, fellow striker Strand Larsen (£5.6m) is much cheaper and has managed two returns in his last three games.

Brighton – They may have disappointed recently, but Brighton still have very good matches ahead from an investment perspective. Between the sticks, Bart Verbruggen (£4.5m) could be a good option, along with him, centre-back Jan Paul Van Hecke (£4.5m) is a safe pick amongst defenders in terms of gametime. Joao Pedro (£5.7m) could be the best attacking option at his price, fellow striker Danny Welbeck (£6m) has had more consistency this season, arguably because he has stayed fit. The best midfield option is Kaoru Mitoma (£6.4m). Mitoma has scored in each of his last two matches.

Who else should we invest in?

Arsenal – Manchester United, Fulham and Everton, could be great fixtures for their assets. Goalkeeper David Raya (£5.5m) has dropped down to his original price, whilst defender Jurrien Timber (£5.5m) could be another cheaper pick. Gabriel (£6.2m) remains the standout due to his attacking threat however. In attack and taking penalties is Bukayo Saka (£10.3m), who picked up two goals and two assists in his last two matches, at the time of writing.

Chelsea – The Blues come up against Southampton, Tottenham and Brentford in their next three games. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.7m) could be a solid pick, but Levi Colwill (£4.5m) is the cheapest and safest amongst the backline. Midfielder Cole Palmer (£10.9m) remains a great pick, but striker Nicolas Jackson (£8m) has produced just one less attacking return than his teammate. Midfielder Noni Madueke (£6.4m) continues to start every match for Chelsea, but he has been underperforming on his underlying data recently.

Liverpool – Newcastle, Everton and Fulham are great opportunities for the Liverpool assets. The most attacking option in defence is full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold (£6.9m), whilst Andy Robertson (£5.9m) and centre-back Virgil Van Dijk (£6.3m) are cheaper routes into defence. Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) is by far their best attacking option, and anyone outside of that with good potential is arguably a rotation risk.

Should I use a chip?

For those managers who still hold the Wildcard chip, you have until Gameweek 19 to use it. With that in mind, it could be wise to use it for the fixture swings ahead.

In regards to the Free Hit, Triple Captain, and Bench Boost, waiting for Blank and Double Gameweeks to arrive could be a wise move. The most experienced FPL managers usually use their chips during those weeks.
