FPL Planning for Gameweeks 10-12

Last modified date

The season continues so in this article we take a look at some FPL planning for Gameweeks 10-12. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area we highlight the best teams to invest in, the best players to buy and if we should use a chip.

Our FPL planning for Gameweeks 10-12 can be extremely helpful to fantasy managers. Having a good idea of which teams to invest in and which players to buy could help you claim a successful start season. So, let’s dive in!

Gameweek 10-12 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Who has the best fixtures?

Everton have recently stretched their unbeaten run to five matches after a 1-1 draw with Fulham. The Toffees sit top of the fixture ticker from now until Gameweek 12. They face newly promoted side Southampton next then West Ham and Brentford immediately after that.

Another side with great fixtures ahead is Fulham. Winless in three games the Cottagers face a meeting with Brentford, Crystal Palace and Wolves next up, three sides who have been extremely inconsistent this season.

Completing the top three sides with the easiest fixtures from now until Gameweek 12 is Wolves. After a torrid starting schedule Wolves have much more manageable matches against the likes of Crystal Palace, Southampton and Fulham ahead.

Best players to buy

Wolves

The good fixtures for Everton make them a good side to invest in, especially when considering the cost of their assets. At the back Jordan Pickford (£4.8m) could fill a gap between the sticks. Those looking for a defender could go for Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.3m) who is even cheaper. Performing well recently in attack is midfielder Dwight McNeil (£5.8m), whilst striker and penalty taker Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.9m) remains an option, even considering his poor form.

Fulham are another side who could offer value with their fixture ahead. Calvin Bassey (£4.5m) is one of the cheapest routes into defence but American Antonee Robinson (£4.7m) is the standout pick due to attacking potential. Mexican striker Raul Jimenez (£5.7m) is the top pick in attack based on recent form. Another option is midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) who bagged an assist in his previous game.

The Wolves assets could gain popularity as fixtures ease. Scoring three goals in his last four matches full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.5m) is the best option in defence. Dominating amongst all forwards in the game for most distribution metrics is Matheus Cunha (£6.5m), he appears to be the most potent option in their offensive line.

Who else should we consider?

Liverpool

Brighton, Aston Villa and Southampton could be good opportunities for Liverpool. Goalkeeper Caoihin Kelleher (£4.4m) could have a short expiration date whilst Alisson recovers from injury. A cheap route into their excellent defence is centre-back Ibrahima Konate (£5.3m). There is no debate around midfielder and penalty taker Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) being the best attacking selection. But, Diogo Jota’s injury could suggest more minutes moving forward for striker Darwin Nunez (£7.1m).

Brentford are another side we should look to. Those looking for a defensive asset could rely on Mark Flekken (£4.5m). However, the Bees’ scoring form is impressive so midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m) could be an essential. To further invest in the frontline FPL managers could double up with striker Yoane Wissa (£5.9m) who recently returned from injury.

Bournemouth, Brighton and Tottenham are opponents Manchester City will be expecting to win against. Rico Lewis (£4.8m) remains a cheap and effective route into their backline, whilst Josko Gvardiol (£6.1m) is more expensive but has scored twice this season already. Erling Haaland (£15.4m) is the standout option up front but midfielder Phil Foden (£9.3m) seems to be starting most of his sides matches lately.

Should I use a chip?

The most experienced managers tend to save their chips for Blank and Double Gameweeks. So, being patient and waiting for those to arrive could be a wise move.
