The new season continues so in this article we take a look at some FPL planning for Gameweek 4-6. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area we highlight the best teams to invest in, the best players to buy and if we should use a chip.
Our FPL planning for Gameweek 4-6 can be extremely helpful to fantasy managers. Having a good idea of which teams to invest in and which players to buy could help you claim a successful start season. So, let’s dive in!
Gameweek 4-6 Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Who has the best fixtures?
As we can see Aston Villa sit at the top of the Fixture Ticker heading into the next several weeks. Unai Emery’s men come up against Everton, Wolves and Ipswich in the next three which could mean both defensive and offensive potential.
Southampton are another side who have some great fixtures ahead. The Saints clash with Manchester United, Ipswich and Bournemouth next up. However, based on their form at the start of the season it could be best to avoid them.
It’s another promoted side who complete the top three teams on the ticker. Ipswich come up against Brighton, Southampton and Aston Villa in their next three games but taking into account that two of those meetings could be tough and their early form, they too could be a good team to avoid.
Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Liverpool are also amongst the top six teams with the best fixtures. In addition, all three have proven themselves worthy in terms of investment.
Best Players to Buy
Based on their performances from both a defensive and offensive perspective Liverpool appear to be a standout side. The cheapest route into the backline is Ibrahima Konate (£5m) but Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7m) offers considerable attacking threat based on his underlying data thus far. Offensively whilst the standout is penalty taker Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) based on his form, another great pick is Diogo Jota (£7.6m). He leads the Liverpool frontline but just left of him is Luiz Diaz (£7.6m) who has registered 14+ points in his last two matches.
We could also prioritise Aston Villa assets ahead of their lovely fixture run. In defence one of the safest options for minutes is Ezri Konsa (£4.5m) but left-back Lucas Digne (£4.5m) could have more attacking potential moving forward. Morgan Rogers (£5.1m) continues to start in the Aston Villa frontline making him the cheapest and most reliable route into the attack. Spearheading the frontline is Ollie Watkins (£8.9m), he goes into the next match after registering an assist in Gameweek 3.
Chelsea also remain a top team to invest in with fixtures against Bournemouth, West Ham and Brighton next. Although yet to pick up a clean sheet yet both goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) and centre-back Levi Colwill (£4.5m) could offer potential moving forward. Cole Palmer (£10.6m) remains the standout option but striker Nicolas Jackson (£7.6m) shouldn’t go un-noticed after scoring in his last two matches. Those looking to invest even less money could bring in Noni Madueke (£6.6m) who produced a jaw dropping 20-point return in Gameweek 2.
Who else should we consider?
Leicester, Manchester United and Everton are all up next for Crystal Palace which could see returns at both ends of the pitch. Between the sticks Dean Henderson (£4.5m) remains a solid goalkeeper picks. A more attacking defensive pick is full-back Daniel Munoz (£5m) who registered an assist in Gameweek 1. Penalty taker Eberechi Eze (£6.9m) hit a huge 10 points in his most recent match against Chelsea. Another attractive option is Jean-Phillipe Mateta (£7.4m) who racked up five goals in six Olympic matches for country recently.
Fulham have started the new season in mixed form but matches West Ham, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest next suggests sticking with the likes of full-back Antonee Robinson (£4.6m) who has produced two assists in his last two games. In attack Emile Smith-Rowe (£5.6m) and striker Rodrigo Muniz (£6.1m) stand out but midfielder Adama Traore (£5m) could go under the radar, even after securing a return in his last two matches.
Other options with great potential include West Ham talisman Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m), Brighton attackers Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) and Joao Pedro (£5.7m) and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (£15.2m).
Should I use a Chip?
The most experienced managers usually save their chips for Double Gameweeks. However, a rough start to the campaign, fixture swings in Gameweek 5 and the international break could favour using a Wildcard.
Learning more information and being patient with your chips could make them even more impactful further on in the season.
