Gameweek 3-5 Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Who has the best fixtures?
Newly promoted side Ipswich sit atop the Fantasy Football Scout fixture ticker for the next three weeks. The Tractor Boys face off with Fulham, Brighton and Southampton which could give their assets both defensive and offensive potential.
Aston Villa sit second on the ticker with some lovely fixtures. Leicester, Everton and Wolves lay ahead for them in the next three games and after winning their first match they go into the period ahead with confidence.
Another promoted side to squeeze themselves into the top three is Southampton. The Saints lost their first game against 10-man Newcastle which raised some concerns around their overall quality. They clash with Brentford, Manchester United and Ipswich.
Fulham, Chelsea and Liverpool are also amongst the top six sides. All three teams also have a great schedule ahead from both an offensive and defensive perspective.
Best Players to Buy
As highlighted above Aston Villa have some lovely fixtures ahead. They also play two of their three matches at home. FPL managers hoping to invest in their backline could opt for Ezri Konsa (£4.5m) who appears to be the cheapest and safest route in. Whilst the standout attacking pick is striker Ollie Watkins (£9m) we could also consider midfielder Leon Bailey (£6.5m) who produced 10 goals and nine assists last season.
Fulham also have a great schedule with clashes against Ipswich, West Ham and Newcastle in the next three rounds. The most obvious option at the back is Antonee-Robinson (£4.6m) who edged his defensive teammates for total attacking returns last campaign. Former Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (£5.6m) scored in his recent match but striker Rodrigo Muniz (£6m) is their most proven attacking asset.
Chelsea remain a key target for FPL manager. The Blues could have potential at both ends of the pitch against Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and West Ham. Those needing a goalkeeper could pick Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) whilst centre-back Levi Colwill (£4.5m) could also be a good budget pick. Those seeking a player with more attacking threat could choose right-back Malo Gusto (£5m) who created six assists last season. In attack penalty taker Cole Palmer (£10.5m) could be the best and safest option for minutes and output. After failing to start the last game Christopher Nkunku (£6.4m) could now be a player we look to sell.
Who else should we consider?
Liverpool are another side we should keep firmly on our radar. The Reds play Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth in their next three. Trent-Alexander Arnold (£7m) is the most attacking defensive asset for his side. Those looking to go cheaper could of course opt for fellow full-back Andy Robertson (£6m) who also has attacking potential. There is no doubt that penalty taker Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) is Liverpool’s most appealing attacking option. However, for managers with less to spend midfielder Diogo Jota (£7.6m) leads the lethal Liverpool frontline.
Tottenham, Wolves and Fulham could be interesting prospects for the Newcastle attackers. After all. the Magpies totalled more big chances than any other side in the league last campaign. Striker Alexander Isak (£8.5m) should remain a top option for investors after his 23/24 season and penalty duty. Midfielder Anthony Gordon (£7.5m) banked 11 goals and 10 assists last time out so should also be at the forefront of our thinking.
The promoted sides could also offer some appeal with their fixtures. The best picks from Ipswich could well be full-back Leif Davis (£4.5m) who produced 20 assists last season and new signing and midfielder Sammie Szmodics (£6m) who was the Championships highest scorer last season. Southampton’s Taylor-Harwood Bellis (£4m) could be a cheap route into the defence and striker and penalty taker Adam Armstrong (£5.5m) is their most appealing attacking option. Shining for Leicester is striker and penalty taker Jamie Vardy (£5.5m) who scored in Gameweek 1 and has a proven record in the Premier League.
Should I use a Chip?
The most experienced managers usually save their chips for Double Gameweeks. However, a rough start to the campaign and the fixture swings in Gameweek 5 could favour using a Wildcard.
