FPL League Changes for 2025/26 Explained: FPL brings a fresh look to how private and public mini-leagues work in the season ahead.
From simplified league types to better clarity on scoring formats, these tweaks are designed to improve the overall experience for managers. If you run or join leagues with friends, colleagues or the global community, here’s what you need to know ahead of the new season.
Finishing strong in Fantasy Premier League just got even more rewarding. Starting this season, FPL is introducing two brand-new global leagues – and only the top-performing managers from last year have made the cut.
If you were in the top 1% or top 10% worldwide at the end of last season, you’re in. These exclusive leagues bring together high-level managers, meaning you’ll be competing against the best of the best every Gameweek.
Let’s break it down:
- Over 11.43 million verified teams were registered by the end of Gameweek 38 last season.
- If you finished inside the top 114,319, you’ve qualified for the Top 1% 24/25 League.
- If you placed within the top 1,143,193, you’re in the Top 10% 24/25 League.
You’ll find these new leagues under “General Leagues” when you log in for the 2025/26 season.
Not in yet? You can still qualify for these leagues next season based on where you finish this year. So every point counts.
