FPL GW38 Transfers: Salah being ditched for Son and De Bruyne
A look at which Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players have had the most transfers in and out so far this Gameweek.
FPL Transfers
These are the most bought and sold players so far, as of Saturday morning. Furthermore, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 14:30 (GMT) on Sunday 22 May.
The uncertainty over Mohamed Salah‘s game time remains after Jurgen Klopp’s Friday press conference. When discussing the recent injuries of Salah, Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk, the Liverpool head coach said: “What we do with them for the weekend, I have no idea. My preferred solution would be they all could play at the weekend for rhythm reasons, stuff like this. Or at least could be on the bench and then we can bring them on or not. If not, then we take it from there. I cannot say 100%.”
Therefore, over 317,000 FPL managers have regretfully ditched the season’s top scorer and expect this to increase in the next 24 hours. From the most-bought list, it can be assumed that many have swapped one premium midfielder for another – bringing in either Son Heung-min or Kevin De Bruyne.
Son has the form, fixture and motivation needed to succeed. Away to last-placed Norwich, his ten goals from nine games now put him just one behind Salah in the Golden Boot race. Heading into Gameweek 30, the Egyptian was ahead by nine. And Spurs have Champions League destiny in their own hands.
Meanwhile, De Bruyne’s last nine matches have brought 13 FPL returns – including the four-goal haul at Wolves. Man City close the season by hosting Aston Villa, knowing they’ve ended the last two with heavy 5-0 home wins. The Belgian scored 19 and 13 points in those.
Of the rest, Jarrod Bowen preceded two goals against the champions with three assists in Gameweek 36. Harry Kane loves Gameweek 38 encounters – his last four have resulted in seven goals and 48 FPL points. And then there’s Luis Diaz, who was unused by Liverpool in midweek but is a fantastic differential.
144,000 have sold injured Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis, alongside the sales of Aston Villa pair Philippe Coutinho and Matty Cash. Both disappointed during Double Gameweek 37 and now have to visit Man City.
