FPL GW28 Transfers: Double Gameweek leads to mass West Ham and Man United sales
A look at which Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players have had the most transfers in and out so far this Gameweek.
FPL Transfers
These are the most bought and sold players so far, as of Friday morning. Furthermore, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 11:00am (GMT) on Saturday 5 March.
After featuring on last week’s most-bought and most-sold lists, Mohamed Salah is top of transfers in for Double Gameweek 28. This is despite him only playing once, just like Harry Kane. However, both have fantastic records against their sole opponents.
Salah has nine goals and three assists from only nine meetings with West Ham, averaging 9.44 points per 90 minutes. Likewise, Kane loves facing Everton, totalling 11 goals and two assists from 13 league matches. Both premium assets follow this up with a Double Gameweek 29, with Kane now confirmed for Gameweek 30 after both Spurs and West Ham were eliminated from the FA Cup in midweek.
Forwards Che Adams and Raul Jimenez are both in the top five, despite contrasting fortunes last weekend. The Southampton man overshadowed strike partner Armando Broja by netting his third goal from four matches. But Jimenez didn’t even make Wolves’ starting XI against West Ham.
The assumption is that the 1-0 defeat will quickly put Jimenez back into the line-up, just in time for a brilliant pair of Double Gameweek home matches with Crystal Palace and Watford. Adams has his own pair versus Aston Villa (a) and Newcastle (H). Closing out the most-bought list is a very surprising name – Newcastle’s Joe Willock.
Two games ago, Willock was a flop signing who was about to make way for Bruno Guimaraes. Then he scored against both West Ham and Brentford, luring FPL managers into thinking he’ll repeat the scoring streak of seven consecutive games that closed last season. The Magpies are the only side to double-double over the next two rounds.
On the other hand, these fixtures aren’t enough to keep team mate Allan Saint-Maximin in squads, such is his uncertain fitness status ahead of the weekend.
Neither West Ham nor Man United have an upcoming Double Gameweek. This mostly explains the mass sales of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio, Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo. It doesn’t help that Man United assets just blanked against Watford, with Antonio only scoring twice from 18 league matches.
