FPL Gameweek 11 Review
Gameweek 11 provided a fourth consecutive green arrow and a huge boost in overall rank, with a big 82 points. Bringing in Kevin De Bruyne and awarding him the captains armband paid off, with other premiums Salah and Fernandes also delivering. There’s high hopes to continue this form with the Best FPL Team GW12.
It was a clean sweep for the forward line, with goals for both, including for our transfer in Patrick Bamford. Ziyech was the only blank in the midfield, as he suffered a hamstring injury which will need dealing with. Soucek benefited from the postponed fixture for Aston Villa with a goal and Kyle Walker-Peters provided a late assist.
Best FPL Team GW12
With one free transfer available, Hakim Ziyech must be replaced in order to get the Best Team for Gameweek 12. Jack Grealish could be a worthy replacement after selling him for De Bruyne last week due to the blank fixture.
With a desire to spice things up, I was tempted to overlook the switch back to Grealish for this week, with Villa facing Wolves away which could be a very defensive set-up. Riyad Mahrez and Wilfried Zaha were other names in the conversation. However, with late news of a knock for Jota, it is Grealish who returns to the side.
Captain options in Gameweek 12 FPL land solely with Liverpool of the premium players, given the Manchester Derby. Assets from Leicester City, Spurs and Southampton would be worth a look if present. For me, going with Mo Salah seems like a no-brainer: a premium player who is in form with a great fixture.
At the time of writing, the Gameweek 12 FPL team is ranked at 676,046 with 654 points. All chips are available. Team value lies at £101.0 million, with £0.6 million in the bank.
