FPL Gameweek 10 Review

Gameweek 10 brought yet more green arrows, six points above the average for a low-scoring week all round. Captain Mo Salah returned, but was outshone once more my Bruno Fernandes. Jack Grealish returned double digits late on and there was an unlikely clean sheet and bonus points for Ben Chilwell. There’s high hopes to continue this form with the Best FPL Team GW11.

It’s great to see the premium midfielders returning, but disappointment in Hakim Ziyech and Ollie Watkins who have failed to return since they arrived in the team. They have been unlucky though.

Best FPL Team GW11

With two free transfer available, Manchester City assets are certainly top of the agenda for the Best Team for Gameweek 11. Manchester City have the best fixtures over the next four games and arguably present the best captain picks for this weekend too.

Kevin De Bruyne is the key transfer target, but with an unwillingness to ditch other premium midfielders and a lack of funds in the bank, it’s going to be tough to fit him in. My gut feeling right now is to move Harry Kane down to Callum Wilson, and then upgrade Hakim Ziyech to Kevin De Bruyne, who would be the obvious captain candidate this weekend. However, both Kane and Ziyech have favourable fixtures, with Kane’s record against Arsenal impeccable. Also in the background are rumours of COVID-19 ravaging the Newcastle United squad, which could potentially lead to postponements for the Friday Night Football. In the end, with the postponed fixture, I’ve kept hold of Hakim Ziyech and transferred out Jack Grealish instead. I prefer Ziyech potential over the next two games to Grealish and I always have the option of making the switch back come Gameweek 13. Patrick Bamford comes in for Harry Kane. Captain options in Gameweek 11 FPL are between Kevin De Bruyne or Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes has been phenomenal on the road, but now Manchester City are firing, you have to take advantage for one of the best fixtures in the Premier League calendar. At the time of writing, the Gameweek 11 FPL team is ranked at 987,162 with 572 points. All chips are available. Team value lies at £100.8 million, with £0.6 million in the bank.
