FPL Gossip 21st February 2022: Injuries for Reguilon and Guaita

A look at the latest rumours and bits of gossip that the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) community is talking about.

FPL Gossip

Sergio Reguilon absent with Covid

Tottenham left-back Sergio Regilon has seen a drop in ownership from his 1.7 million peak. After being unused against Chelsea in Gameweek 23, the Spaniard played the next game but has missed the two since.

Manager Conte announced in his press conference last week that one Spurs player had tested positive for Covid 19. Conte did not name the player involved. On Saturday Reguilon tweeted that he was missing from the Spurs match day squad due to Covid 19. This would have been disappointing for his managers who were expecting him to play twice in Gameweek 26.

Whether he now rotates with Ryan Sessegnon remains to be seen.

FPL Gossip: Injury forces Vicente Guaita off at half-time

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita didn’t emerge for the second half against Chelsea. Therefore Jack Butland came on in his place. Manager Patrick Vieira confirmed that a minor knee problem caused the change.

“He felt something behind his knee and decided to stop. He couldn’t play.”
