Reece James may only miss two weeks through injury
According to Simon Johnson from The Athletic, yesterday’s news of a new Reece James setback may not be too bad.
Fresh from an 18-point haul against Burnley, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed the wing-back will have scans.
“He has muscular problems after the last three matches, not in his [previously] injured leg but in his other leg. So we are worried but still, need more details and information. Today will be further examinations. A setback, for sure – I hope not a big one”.
However, Johnson believes that, despite a James Instagram post stating that “patience is key”, the damage isn’t as bad as first feared and he’ll only miss four matches – two of which are in the league.
Jamie Vardy is hurt again
Having missed two months because of hamstring problems, Leicester forward Jamie Vardy now has a knee injury. Like James, he also returned to action with a goal at Burnley but got hurt on Saturday versus Leeds.
His ownership is low but could’ve been about to escalate as Leicester begin a good fixture run and have three games in hand.
Spurs already looking to sell Emerson Royal
The recent form of Matt Doherty has the FPL community talking, returning 32 points over the last two matches. Although potential buyers may still worry about rotation with Emerson Royal, reports say Spurs are already looking to offload the Brazilian.
According to Mail Online, Antonio Conte now prefers Doherty as right wing-back because of Emerson’s erratic displays. So if Conte is already reached this decision, perhaps Doherty really is nailed-on.
