Goalkeepers

Arsenal rank near the top of the ticker and have proven that they are one of the best defences in the league. Because of this, and the lack of convincing goalkeeper options elsewhere, David Raya makes the cut.

Burnley’ Martin Dubravka is the cheapest playing goalkeeper in the game, so backs up Raya.

Defenders

No team have secured more clean sheets than Newcastle so far this season. Their standout currently could be Dan Burn, who bagged an assist in his most recent match.

Crystal Palace have several great routes into their impressive defence. However, the cheapest way in is Chris Richards, who continues to churn out defcon points.

With only five big chances conceded thus far, Arsenal have continued their excellent defensive data from last season into the current. Because of that, doubling up in defence could be hugely rewarding, and Gabriel is their most reliable defender for gametime.

Bournemouth are another side delivering good performances. Three clean sheets makes them a solid defence to invest in. But, most of Marcos Senesi‘ appeal comes from the fact he ranks top in his position for total defensive contributions.

Midfielders

After taking his sides most recent penalty, and scoring, Bukayo Saka appears to be the Gooners’ most appealing attacker. Long-term Arsenal’ fixtures are fantastic so Saka could have massive potential.

Antoine Semenyo ranks second overall for FPL points after amassing six goals and three assists already. The Bournemouth talisman has been in scintillating form, so eases into the squad.

With great long-term fixtures, Crystal Palace assets have started to creep into the minds of FPL managers again. One player many will look to is Ismaila Sarr, espcially after returning in each of his previous outings.

Cole Palmer’ injury means back-up penalty and teammate taker Enzo Fernandez has become a very appealing pick. Chelsea have a very good period of fixtures ahead and their Argentine has produced 9-12 points in three of his matches this season.

One of the best cheap enablers in the game could be Sunderland man Granit Xhaka. As well as registering three assists in his first matches, he has also managed at least four points in all but two of his games.

Forwards

Erling Haaland doesn’t need much justification here. The Norwegian has been absolutely relentless since the start of the campaign, and his consistency makes him a fantastic captaincy option looking ahead.

Although short of form recently, Joao Pedro could still have heaps of potential. Chelsea rank among the five best teams for expected goals conceded, and have a great schedule to attack ahead. The Brazilian has been one of the best performing strikers in the game this season – hitting two goals and one assist in his first seven games.

Another team who are coming up to a positive fixture swing is Newcastle. Since joining the Magpies, Nick Woltemade has scored in three of his four starts. A good period ahead could see him add to that tally.
