FPL Gameweek 6 Best Wildcard Team

The sixth round of Fantasy Premier League is approaching so we take a look at the FPL Gameweek 6 best wildcard team. To do this we use the Fantasy Football Scout members area and Plan FPL and their fantastic tools.

Who has the best fixtures?

Everton, Brentford, West Ham, Ipswich and Tottenham all rank amongst the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Brighton, Newcastle, Chelsea, Bournemouth and Southampton all rank in the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.

Goalkeepers

Arsenal have some brilliant fixtures ahead so a double up in defence could be extremely rewarding. With that and the fact he is the cheapest and most reliable route into the Arsenal defence in terms of minutes David Raya (£5.5m) takes his place between the sticks.

Sitting on the bench and enabling the rest of the squad is Hakon Valdimarsson (£4m).

Defenders

Completing an Arsenal defensive double up is Gabriel (£6m). As well as offering clean sheet potential Gabriel has scored in both of his last two matches, showing he also has attacking threat.

Joining Gabriel at the back and playing for another strong defence is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.1m). The Liverpool full-back has produced more chances and non-penalty expected goal involvement than any other defender in the league so far. He also picked up an assist in his latest match which suggests he is starting to cash in on his underlying data.

Aston Villa have four great fixtures ahead of them and although yet to keep a clean sheet it may be just a matter of time. Offering a cheap and reliable route into the defence is Ezri Konsa (£4.5m) who came away from Gameweek 5 with a goal.

Manchester City still offer up a cheap route into their defence via Rico Lewis (£4.7m). After questionable displays from Kyle Walker and with games coming thick and fast Lewis could well come straight back into the starting XI.

Completing the backline and unlikely to feature is Ipswich man Jacob Greaves (£4m). Greaves helps to enable funds elsewhere in the team but may also be a viable option off the bench if needed due to favourable fixtures.

Midfielders

Brentford sit top of the fixture ticker and their main man and penalty taker Bryan Mbeumo (£7.1m) has been in top form. In fact, Mbeumo has already racked up an impressive four goals in just five matches.

The fixtures speak for themselves as Arsenal face three poor defences in their next three matches. Their standout attacking asset is Bukayo Saka (£10m) who has produced a return in all of his first five matches this season.

Take away their fixture against Manchester City, Fulham have very good fixtures ahead from an attacking perspective. Because of this and his enabling price-tag Emile Smith-Rowe (£5.7m) remains a top option. The former Arsenal man has averaged six points per game this season already.

Aston Villa may rank further down the ticker than expected but their fixtures are still very good for their attacking options. One of those options is the lively and budget enabling Morgan Rogers (£5.1m) who registered two assists in his most recent game.

Completing the midfield is the cheap but effective Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m). Semenyo picked up a goal contribution in each of his first three matches this season and has two great fixtures to attack ahead of him. He also has great long-term fixtures from Gameweek 11 onwards so could be a long-term hold.

Forwards

No side has had more big chances than Aston Villa and no player has had more big chances than Ollie Watkins (£9m) this season. With fantastic fixtures ahead and in very good form overall Watkins could well be a shoo-in for many.

Another shoo-in for many is Erling Haaland (£15.3m). The Manchester City main man and penalty taker has amassed a mammoth 10 goals in his first five matches and goes into the period ahead as the standout captaincy option for most weeks.

Everton have shown to be more than capable at scoring goals in their last three matches and factoring in their great fixtures, investing in their attack could be beneficial. Spearheading the Everton frontline is penalty taker Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.9m) who has managed two goals and one assist in his last three games.
