Goalkeepers

Tottenham have fantastic fixtures and have been solid defensively, so adding Guglielmo Vicario (£5m) could be a great option.

Enabling the team is budget goalkeeper Martin Dubravka (£4m) of Burnley.

Defenders

With the above in mind, doubling up on the Tottenham defence could be beneficial. One of their most reliable and cheapest picks is Mickey van de Ven (£4.6m) who scored in his previous game.

There is not telling how Nottingham Forest will play under new management. However, they have great fixtures and their cheapest and safest route into the backline in terms of minutes is Neco Williams (£5m).

Crystal Palace defenders have been exceptional when it comes to defensive contributions. They have also kept three clean sheets this season. Chris Richards (£4.5m) is their cheapest option at the back.

Joining Richards is fellow budget gem Joachim Andersen (£4.5m). The Fulham centre-back has been great value for money and has managed double-digit’ for defensive contributions in three of his four games.

The trend of cheap defenders continues with Marcos Senesi (£4.6m). Senesi ranks among some of the best in the game for defcons and that could continue in the period ahead.

Midfielders

If wildcarding a week later, Mohamed Salah (£14.5m) might not have made the cut. The Egyptian faces a home match against Everton this week which makes him a perfect captaincy option on paper.

One of the best performing midfielders in the game is Antoine Semenyo (£7.5m). The Ghanian has already produced five attacking returns this season.

Tottenham’ fixtures are still great, and whilst only registering two assists thus far, Mohammed Kudus (£6.6m) is still one of the safest routes into the Spurs attack.

Everton have impressed early doors, and seem to be heading into most games with a new sense of offensive confidence. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£5m) could be a fantastic value asset in the period ahead.

New found appeal in the back four and back five could mean we opt for the likes of Josh King (£4.5m) in midfield. King will likely feature rarely in this side with the defensive depth we have.

Forwards

Wildcarding this week is far from ideal in regards to Erling Haaland (£14.1m). Even though the Norwegian faces Arsenal next, he is a player who we’ll want long-term due to his explosive early form.

Nottingham Forest may not have started the season well, but their fixtures are great. Ange Postecoglu could transform the frontline which could give Chris Wood (£7.6m) lots of potential.

Completing the frontline is Jean Phillipe Mateta (£7.6m). The Eagles look dangerous early on and penalty taker Mateta spearheads the attack.
