Best players to buy

- Aston Villa – No side has easier fixtures than Aston Villa in their next three. Unai Emery and his side come up against two out of the three promoted sides so backing the defence could be beneficial. Whilst full-back Lucas Digne (£4.5m) is more attacking, Ezri Konsa (£4.5m) is more reliable for gametime long-term. In attack striker Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) continues to lead the line. Another historically good route into the attack is midfielder Morgan Rogers (£7m). Youri Tielemans (£5.9m) could be another cheap option.
- Nottingham Forest – Forest are another side who started the season questionably, but also have exceptional fixtures in the next three. The cheapest and most reliable way into the defence is Nico Williams (£5m). Centre-back Murillo (£5.5m) has historically performed better for defensive contributions though. Midfielder Dan Ndoye (£6.1m) has made an impressive start, whilst set piece taker Eliott Anderson (£5.5m) could offer something different with defensive contributions. Penalty taker and striker Chris Wood (£7.7m) could be the best of the bunch in attack though.
- Tottenham – Matches against Wolves, Leeds and Brighton could all hold potential for Tottenham assets. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario (£5m) comes in at a good price, but centre-back Mickey van de Ven (£4.6m) even cheaper. Full-back Pedro Porro (£5.6m) offers considerably more attacking threat though. In attack, new signing Xavi Simons (£7m) could be worth monitoring, whilst fellow midfielder Mohammed Kudus (£6.6m) has impressed since joining from West Ham. Striker Richarlison (£6.7m) continues to start in the absence of Dominic Solanke due to injury.
Who else should we consider?

- Bournemouth – Marcos Senesi (defender – £4.6m) and midfielder Antoine Semenyo (£7.4m)
- Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes (midfielder – £9m) and Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m)
- Liverpool – Virgil Van Dijk (defender – £6m), Midfielder Mohamed Salah (midfielder – £14.5m)
- Crystal Palace – Maxence Lacroix (defender – £5m), Daniel Munoz (defender – £5.6m), and Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.5m).
Should we play a chip?

- Bench Boost – the poor form of Nottingham Forest could make Burnley assets more appealing. This could be extremely relevant for those with bench boost to play, especially in Gameweek 5 when Burnley play Forest at home. However, most managers will be hoping to play the bench boost after wildcarding in Gameweek 13.
- Wildcard – Injuries and a poor start to the season could combine to make using the Wildcard beneficial for some. But, a large proportion of the community will be keen on using it ahead of the large fixture swings around Gameweek 13.
- Free Hit – Managers without Erling Haaland will be tempted to use the Free Hit in Gameweek 6 due to his fixture against Burnley. There are also other fixtures worth targeting that week. Gameweek 7 sees Chelsea v Liverpool, which could be another good opportunity to use it in. Using the Free Hit in any given Gameweek when your team doesn’t look great on paper could also be beneficial.
- Triple Captain – Some may consider using the triple captain chip in Gameweek 6 when Haaland faces Burnley. However, there are many better opportunities ahead, especially when Mohamed Salah faces promoted sides at home.
