FPL Gameweek 4 Best Differentials

Last modified date

The Premier League is approaching so we take a look at the FPL Gameweek 4 best differentials. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we utilise the fixture ticker and underlying stats to pick out some of the best players with low ownership.

Our FPL Gameweek 4 best differentials could give you a much needed boost to start the new season. Differentials are players who have low ownership. If those players are successful then it could both rank and mini-league position.

Daichi Kamada – 0.3% Ownership

Crystal Palace have made a questionable start to their new campaign – failing to win any of their first three matches. This week however they have a great opportunity to take their first three points against a Leicester side who rank joint third worst for total shots in the box conceded.

Many will be counting on talisman Eberechi Eze but Daichi Kamada (£5.4m) could have potential. The former Lazio man seems to be settling in since signing during in the summer. Although quiet in terms of both output and performances in his first two games Kamada has since scored, assisted and put in a great showing against Chelsea in the recent 1-1 draw.

Kaoru Mitoma – 8.5% Ownership

Two convincing wins and a draw against Arsenal is an indicator of how strong Brighton have started in terms of form. The Seagulls could be difficult to stop this week offensively and ranking the worst in the league for big chances conceded so far it’s Ipswich who have the job of trying to do that.

Based on the above there will be a lot of managers interested in the Brighton attacking assets this week. Whilst Joao Pedro continues to attract FPL managers Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) should also be on our radars, As well as edging every other attacking teammate for non-penalty expected goal involvement line-ups the Japanese midfielder has bagged a return in two of his first three matches.

Andrew Robertson – 6.5% Ownership

Liverpool are the only side who have started the new campaign ‘perfectly’ – winning all three of their matches, keeping three clean sheets and scoring 2+ goals in each of them along the way. This type of form is very difficult to ignore from an investment perspective.

Nottingham Forest lay ahead for the Reds which could be a great fixture to continue their defensive form. A cheaper alternative into the Liverpool defence to Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7m) is Andrew Robertson (£6m) who has matched his teammate for points returned so far. He also ranks higher than Alexander-Arnold for both total crosses and total successful crosses.

Adama Traore – 2.6% Ownership

Fulham could be another interesting team to dive into this week. The Cottagers face a clash with West Ham who have shipped 2-3 goals in two of their three matches. What is even more convincing for the Fulham attackers is that West Ham are the worst side in the league for shots in the box conceded.

One of several players who could take advantage of the above is Adama Traore (£5m). Traore seems to be shaking off the old rhetoric that he lacks output after producing both a goal and an assist in his first three games. What may also be quite surprising is that he also leads all of his attacking teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement.

Nicolas Jackson – 6% Ownership

Only Manchester City have scored more goals than Chelsea this season. This is a huge achievement considering the Blues have had to face the current Champions already. They also face Bournemouth this week who have conceded more shots on target than any other side so far.

Bournemouth’s underlying defensive data appears to be targetable and it’s Nicolas Jackson (£7.6m) who leads the Chelsea attack. Jackson has started his new campaign very well – scoring two goals and creating one assist. Only Erling Haaland has racked up more big chances amongst forwards than Jackson which is another indicator in how much potential he could have.
