FPL Gameweek 35 Best Wildcard Team

Not sure how your Wildcard should look? Don’t fear, we have put together the FPL Gameweek 35 Best Wildcard Team, which should boost you up the rankings.

To do this, we use Fantasy Football Scout’s Members Area and the fantastic Plan FPL tool.

One of several chips provided by the game, the Wildcard allows managers to make an unlimited number of free transfers to their squad. The moves made in this one Gameweek can both fix problems and plan for the future. It’s an extremely useful weapon.

Fixtures

Below is Fantasy Football Scout’s ranking of fixture difficulty over the final four Gameweeks. Teams at the top have the easiest set, while teams at the bottom have the toughest ones.

Who has the best fixtures?

Awkwardly, the already-relegated Ipswich are deemed to have the most appealing schedule. After them are two sides still competing for Champions League spots: Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.

Rescued by David Moyes, Everton have two remaining matches at Goodison Park and they’re both versus opponents assigned to next season’s Championship.

Who has the worst fixtures?

If Chelsea want to resurrect their Champions League hopes, they’ll need to do it the hard way. Consecutive wins are a boost to the Blues but they soon face three of the current top six.

The games look tricky for Liverpool, who are hard to call now they’ve been confirmed as champions. Elsewhere, it might be time to jump off Crystal Palace assets, especially as they’ll have one eye on the FA Cup final.

Best Gameweek 35 Wildcard

Using the PlanFPL website, here is the best Wildcard team for Gameweek 35 and beyond:

Defence

By the next deadline, we should know whether or not there’ll be a Double Gameweek 36 and Blank Gameweek 37 situation. That will slightly affect how this Wildcard looks.

Goalkeeper David Raya (£5.6m) offers coverage of the league’s best backline when some defenders could be rotated. Only Arsenal have allowed fewer big chances than Forest, so Neco Williams’ (£4.5m) recent numbers for chances created and box shots are worth investment.

Meanwhile, Josko Gvardiol‘s (£6.3m) Wembley header was a reminder of his attacking threat – no defender has more goals than his five. When it comes to big chances, Nathan Collins (£4.5m) has accumulated a half-dozen of them, which is the fifth-most.

The Brentford giant has two goals and six assists to his name, with Kieran Trippier (£5.7m) recently setting up three Newcastle strikes in a flashback to his excellent 2022/23.

Midfield

In midfield, the big decision was not to get Bukayo Saka (£10.5m). Only one of his five Premier League comeback matches has been from the start and that also failed to reach the hour mark. Expect similar while Arsenal remain in the Champions League.

28-goal Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) is chasing individual landmarks and is worth keeping, while there’s also enough money to buy a romantic ticket for Kevin De Bruyne‘s (£9.4m) farewell tour. Perhaps it’s risky but he’s started Man City’s latest four league outings. The final ones look appealing, as they look to secure a top-five spot.

Alongside Salah, the sole other player to exceed 200 points is Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m). He’s a nailed Brentford starter who has many routes to FPL points, about to finish with four nice fixtures.

Another in-form talisman is West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m). His two weekend assists at Brighton continue a good bit of form, meaning the last time he’s gone consecutive games without a return was all the way back in December. Up next, he faces the distracted duo Tottenham and Man United.

Midfielder number five is Morgan Rogers (£5.7m), regardless of whether he gets the Double/Blank sequence. He is immune to Unai Emery’s rotation and has racked up two goals and three assists in his last seven outings.

Forwards

It’s still hard to overlook Alexander Isak (£9.6m), despite the Newcastle striker recently looking slightly off his usual standards. The Magpies are one of the few teams that still have a high motivation to win, and he’s netted 22 times.

Omar Marmoush (£7.6m) is still filling in for Erling Haaland (£14.8m), though many managers still remember the disappointment of captaining him in Double Gameweek 33.

At least Chris Wood (£7.0m) has ended his five-match goal drought. Forest’s final fixtures are good too, including a hosting of Leicester. Other contenders for the three forward spots are Yoane Wissa (£6.6m) and Matheus Cunha (£7.0m).
