FPL Gameweek 32 Top 5 Deadline Day Buys

Struggling to prioritise your transfers ahead of the new round? Millions of managers will be hoping to cement a plan, but this is where we come in. Today we highlight the FPL Gameweek 32 top 5 deadline day buys.

Knowing who to buy ahead of any given deadline can help boost both ranking and mini-league position. Diving straight in, we count down from five:

5. Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace have two fixtures this week, which naturally makes them one of the most appealing teams to invest in. It also makes their attackers top transfer targets this week. One of their attackers who could offer potential is midfielder Ismaila Sarr (£5.7m).

It could be tough picking between him and Eberechi Eze in midfield this week, but Sarr comes in both cheaper and more explosive in terms of output – having bagged two double-digit hauls in his previous four matches.

4. Daniel Munoz

Crystal Palace may have two tough fixtures next up, but with two clean sheets in their previous five games, they have proven more than capable defensively. Because of this, a Crystal Palace defender could be a prime target this week.

Whilst the Newcastle defence arguably have a better chance of keeping a clean sheet, Daniel Munoz (£5.2m) is far more attacking than any member of their backline. Munoz also goes into the double after hitting five returns in his last five matches.’

3. Jacob Murphy

Two home matches is just too good to ignore from an investment perspective. The Magpies come up against both Crystal Palace and Manchester United in the round ahead, two teams who have failed to convince from a defensive perspective.

The above suggests that buying into the Newcastle attack this week vital. Whilst Anthony Gordon has failed to start for several matches now, fellow midfielder Jacob Murphy (£5.2m) starts every match. Murphy isn’t just part of the attack these days, he also bagged a massive 16 points after netting twice in Gameweek 31.

2. Jean Philippe Mateta

As mentioned, the double makes Crystal Palace one of two very appealing teams this week. In fact, most transfers being used should be aimed at bringing in assets from both Crystal Palace or Newcastle. But, one of two players who could be considered as essential this week is Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m).

The Frenchman clashes with both Newcastle and Manchester City this week, which on paper could be tough. However, although offensively impressive, both sides just haven’t convinced at the back, and that’s something the in-form Mateta could both scrutinise and benefit from.

1. Alexander Isak

Newcastle are a different beast at home, their recent 3-0 win against Aston Villa, 3-0 win v Wolves, and 4-3 win versus Nottingham Forest are all great examples of that. Crystal Palace and Manchester United lay ahead, which could mean we see plenty of goals from the Magpies.

FPL managers’ number one priority this week should be Alexander Isak (£9.5m). With a huge 20 goals already this season, Isak has been one of the best attackers in the league thus far. Not only will non-owners be flocking in to buy him and captain him, many are also giving him the triple captain.
