FPL Gameweek 30 Chip Strategy: Community XI
Following this week’s announcement of unlimited transfers, the community are trying to make sense of the optimal FPL Gameweek 30 Chip Strategy.
There are plenty of options on the table for the FPL Gameweek 30 Chip Strategy, which bizarrely includes ignoring the unlimited transfers altogether and playing the Free Hit chip.
Chips
Ben Crellin always has chips in mind and he has explained the FPL Gameweek 30 chip strategy in this thread. The Free Hit chip is particularly confusing to understand, but managers ought to bear in mind that this is the final Double Gameweek of the season. You can make unlimited transfers in 'Gameweek 30+' and you can also play a chip (if you have one left).

If you Free Hit in GW30+ then your team will revert back to your GW38 team after the GW30+ deadline and you'll have one FT in GW31+.https://t.co/gwIyzZm4Ia

Bench Boost
FPL Hints is advocating the Bench Boost chip for his FPL Gamweek 30 chip strategy. With the potential to have 12 members of your squad playing twice, there’s high base points on offer. The Bench Boost chip certainly has the most potential and executing is far easier alongside unlimited transfers. If you Bench Boost in DGW30+ and have a maximum slate of Double Gameweek players, you could expect to score up to 54 points alone just from appearance points (48+6). That's 32 points more than a rival team that has no DGW30+ players!

Free Hit
Playing the Free Hit chip in Gameweek 30 seems counter-productive, but it could be an effective strategy for some managers. Planet FPL discuss the value of this chip and how it should be executed. It’s a strategy that I’m looking to adopt for my own team.?? "Free Hit?"

Tip
Finally, FPL General provides an important warning for fantasy managers as we tinker with our teams. While we do have unlimited transfers, team value can still be lost by transferring current players in and out of your original squad if you decide to stick with them. Be warned!Tip:

ALWAYS go to 'list view' on the transfers page to see what value you have tied up in a player before selling him.
Don't make the mistake of selling a player today that you may end up wanting back tomorrow if it will cost you £££#FPL #UnlimitedTransfers
