Captaincy has caused a massive headache this week and it’s a very tight run race in the latest Fantasy Football Pundits poll. There’s been over 7000 votes already. Kevin De Bruyne and Timo Werner are the leaders right now, but there’s plenty of credible options.

Midfielders

The market for new midfielders this week has been a hot one, with plenty downgrading or on wildcards. There are a number of intriguing options in the mid-priced bracket, with James Rodriguez gathering plenty of new owners. Harvey Barnes could be an intriguing differential though.

Watchlist

FPL Tips updates his watchlist for the FPL Gameweek 3 tips, with a trio of names in the frame worth considering. Again, James Rodgiruez takes the headline, but there is an alternative to consider at a similar price, plus a forward with low ownership.

Penalties

Penalties remain dominant in the conversation, with 13 awarded across 18 games so far, with fantasy managers clamouring for spot-kick takers. FPL Matthew shares his insight into the current climate and the top priorities for our fantasy squads.

Injuries

As always, Ben Dinnery brings us the all-important injury news ahead of the deadline and some of the biggest news comes from Newcastle United. Allan Saint-Maximin remains a doubt for the weekend, with Phil Foden and Daniel Podence among the possible replacements.
