FPL Gameweek 3 Best Budget Gems
Here we take a look at the FPL Gameweek 3 best budget gems. Using the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area and its fantastic tools we can compare the cheaper assets and pick the best of them for the third round.
The following FPL Gameweek 3 best budget gems can be extremely helpful for managers. Cheap players are vital towards fitting in the more expensive players, those expensive players tend to be the most reliable and consistent.
Fulham
Fulham go into the next round high in confidence after edging Leicester in Gameweek2. This week they face another promoted side in Ipswich. The Tractor Boys have a had a tough start to their season – losing both of their matches and ranking poorly for both defensive and offensive underlying metrics.
With the above in mind FPL managers could opt for Fulham assets this week. Antonee Robinson (£4.6m) showed why he is their standout defensive pick after registering an assist in his previous match. Investors will be hoping for returns at both end of the pitch from the American.
In attack former Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (£5.6m) seems to be gaining momentum. Rowe picked up a huge 10-point return in Gameweek 2 due to his goal and bonus. Although quiet in terms of output so far this season striker Rodrigo Muniz (£6m) could be a great alternative. He showcased his quality last season after scoring eight goals in an eight-match period.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa also have a favourable fixture this week. Although suffering defeat to Arsenal recently they showed huge quality in the first round. With a clash against newly promoted Leicester coming up we are likely to see those same qualities again.
The cheapest route into the backline could well be Kosta Nedeljkovic (£4m) who replaced an injured Matty Cash during Gameweek 2. A safer option could be centre-back Ezri Kona (£4.5m) who played more minutes than any other Aston Villa defender last season.
From an offensive perspective midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5m) could be best pick amongst the budget options. Rogers impressed in pre-season and continues to pass the eye test for FPL managers. Some may even opt for the less attacking Youri Tielemans (£5.5m) who is likely to take his sides penalties. The Belgian also registered an assist in Gameweek 1.
Antoine Semenyo
Bournemouth aren’t the most prolific side but they have scored in each of their first two matches this season. What makes the Cherries appealing this week is the fact they face an Everton side who have shipped a huge seven goals in their first two games.
Everton are leaking plenty of goals and one player who could take advantage of their defensive form is Antoine Semenyo (£5.5m). The Ghanian, although categorised as a midfielder, plays in a forward role out of position. Adding to the fact he has banked an attacking return in both of his early games Semenyo has the form and opposition to be a success this week.
Rico Lewis
One side who have potential going into any given Gameweek is Manchester City. Pep Guardiola made a statement win against Chelsea in the first round and followed their performance up with a heavy win against newly promoted Ipswich.
Manchester City are in good form and Rico Lewis (£4.5m) could be one of several beneficiaries. As well as clean sheet potential Lewis can be an attacking threat. Although missing a huge chance in the previous game Lewis continues to get into some hugely promising positions. You never quite know what to expect from West Ham and that could work in favour of the youngster.
