Who tops the list?

FPL Gameweek 29 Predicted Player Points

Erling Haaland (£14.7m) edges every other player for points this week with 6.52. The Norwegian has been in solid form recently – returning in five of his previous six matches. This week he faces a home match against a Brighton side who have won their last four games on the bounce.

The Rest of the Top Five

Just behind Haaland in second is Bruno Fernandes. Their recent 2-2 draw to Everton and 3-2 win against Ipswich are good examples of how effective Manchester United can be offensively on their day. A trip to Leicester could be a great opportunity for penalty taker Fernandes to help his side continue that form.

Only Southampton have conceded more big chances than Ipswich this season. So, it may come as no surprise that Nottingham Forest penalty taker Chris Wood makes the top five. Wood has a glorious opening to bank his 19th goal of the season this week.

Justin Kluivert is another player predicted to do well in Gameweek 29. Only Southampton have conceded more shots on target than Brentford this season. This suggests Bournemouth and their penalty taking Dutchman could see success this week.

Arsenal come up against Chelsea this week which could be limiting for their potential. With that in mind, seeing Martin Odegaard in the top five may be slightly surprising. The Norwegian has managed just one return in his previous five games.

Who else features in the top 10?

Arsenal have dominated multiple underlying defensive metrics this season, which suggests the Chelsea attackers have their work cut out. One of those attackers in penalty taker and talisman Cole Palmer, who goes into the game in questionable form.

The Brentford defence has failed to convince this season, whilst Bournemouth have proven to be an effective frontline against most sides they face. Another of their midfielders expected to perform well this week is Antoine Semenyo.

Arsenal feature twice in the top 10 this week, but rather than their defensive assets, it’s their attacking options who continue to make the list. Another of them is Leandro Trossard, who could hit 4.43 points against Chelsea.

Wolves have a brilliant fixture against Southampton this week, who are the worst defence in the league. With Matheus Cunha’ ban, Strand Larsen will lead the attack, and is also expected to return.

Just squeezing into the list, and maybe lower down than many may have expected is Brentford penalty taker Bryan Mbeumo. Mbeumo faces a ropey Bournemouth defence up next, which could see him return in three games during a four-match period.
