FPL Gameweek 29 Best Wildcard Team

Another round of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is coming, so we take a look at the best Wildcard team for FPL Gameweek 29. To do this, we use Fantasy Football Scout’s Members Area and the fantastic Plan FPL tool.
One of several chips provided by the game, the Wildcard allows managers to make an unlimited number of free transfers to their squad. The moves made in this one Gameweek can both fix problems and plan for the future. It’s an extremely useful weapon.
Fixtures
Below is Fantasy Football Scout’s ranking of fixture difficulty over the next six Gameweeks. Teams at the top have the easiest fixtures, while teams at the bottom have the toughest ones.

Who has the best fixtures?
Wolves get to face relegation zone sides in both Blank Gameweeks (29 and 34), with an Ipswich clash in-between. It makes Matheus Cunha‘s (£7.0m) actions even more frustrating.
Bournemouth and Man City have it good but, like many, we’re not yet sure if they play in Blank Gameweek 34 or Double Gameweek 33. Whereas Newcastle have a nice-looking run from Gameweek 30 onwards but have to get through this immediate blank.
Who has the worst fixtures?
Meanwhile, Brentford have the least attractive set but have a solid Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) and Yoane Wissa (£6.5m) outing first. Like Everton, any sales should after Gameweek 29.
It’s not looking great for Fulham, though if they lose in their FA Cup quarter-final they’ll get to face Southampton in Blank Gameweek 34.
Best Gameweek 29 Wildcard
Using the PlanFPL website, here is the best Wildcard team for Gameweek 29 and beyond:

Goalkeepers
It’s highly unrecommended to Wildcard right now because managers will be taking a step into the unknown. We’ll know a lot more information by Gameweek 30.
For those who proceed with the chip, some awkward sacrifices need making to field a full XI in Blank Gameweek 29 while also adequately covering upcoming doubles. So let’s focus on a great squad up to Gameweek 32, where free transfers can be saved up and used afterwards.
Alisson Becker (£5.6m) covers Liverpool’s defence after the blank and cheap stopper Alphonse Areola (£4.2m) can step in now, for his trip to Everton.
Defenders
In fact, this squad only has 10 men for Gameweek 29 because a compromise needed to be made. Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.3m) hasn’t scored a goal in a while but there’s still faith that a set-piece will soon be headed home.
Daniel Munoz (£5.0m) is in sensational form. One goal, three assists and five clean sheets in his last eight league matches, with a couple of FA Cup strikes sprinkled in. Both he and Tino Livramento (£4.5m) have Double Gameweek 32 on the horizon and Newcastle precede it with a trip to low-scoring Leicester.
Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams (£4.4m) has consecutive clean sheets versus Arsenal and Man City, which is great preparation for visiting Ipswich. At the same time, cheap enabler Emmanuel Agbadou (£4.0m) gets to face last-placed Southampton.
Midfielders
To afford the expensive forward line below, there’s a huge price gap between Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) and the other chosen midfielders. It’ll have to do without Cole Palmer (£11.0m) or Mbeumo, which isn’t ideal.
Talisman Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m) has both the form and fixtures to succeed here, while penalty-taking Justin Kluivert (£6.1m) is steadily picking up attacking returns. 10 in eight matches.
Very few cheap midfielders have an attractive Blank Gameweek 29 encounter but Anthony Elanga (£5.3m) is one of them. So is Alejandro Garnacho (£5.9m) – a more controversial pick but Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) can’t be afforded. Either of these could soon become Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy (£5.0m).
Forwards
Up front, Erling Haaland (£14.7m) may not be essential in Man City’s tricky meeting with Brighton but he’s at home to Leicester after that, with great fixtures from Gameweek 33 onwards.
Alexander Isak (£9.4m) is still undroppable despite Blank Gameweek 29 – expect him to score plenty in the subsequent run. Finally, it’s still hard to ignore Chris Wood (£7.3m). The top-scoring FPL forward so far gets a go at Ipswich, then Man United.
