Best Wildcard Team
With the help of the above and Plan FPL, we built the best Wildcard team for Gameweek 28:

Goalkeepers
Chelsea have mixed fixtures, but face Leicester this week, which suggests they have clean sheet potential. Enzo Maresca appears stuck on Flip Jorgensen (£4.2m) as number one.
Chelsea’ fixtures rotate well with West Ham’, especially around Blank Gameweek 29, so Alphonse Areola (£4.2m) could be a great back-up option.
Defenders
Crystal Palace may blank in Gameweek 29, but they play a promoted team either side of it, and double in the rounds ahead. Their standout defensive option is Daniel Munoz (£5m), who has managed three attacking returns in his previous three matches.
Liverpool may blank in Gameweek 29, but they play the worst side in the league next. Full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m), as well as maintaining elite underlying attacking data, has also returned in each of his last six matches bar one.
Holding onto an Arsenal defender long-term could be wise. The Gooners have maintained better defensive data than any other side in the league this season, and their best option is arguably Gabriel (£6.3m), especially when taking into account attacking threat.
Nottingham Forest have been one of the best defences in the league this season. They also have a great fixture in Gameweek 29. So, bringing in Nikola Milenkovic (£4.8m) could be beneficial.
Wolves have excellent fixtures which could suggest potential for their attacking full-backs. Bagging an assist in his latest match was Nelson Semedo (£4.5m), who could be a great cheap option.
Midfielders
Bournemouth don’t just play in Gameweek 29, they also have brilliant fixtures long-term. With this in mind, and taking into account their cost, we could double up in attack. The standout picks are Antoine Semenyo (£5.7m) and penalty taker Justin Kluivert (£6.1m).
Although out of form, getting rid of midfielder Cole Palmer (£11.1m) could be very premature, especially when they face one of the leagues worst defences next. Some may decide to shift him out ahead of Gameweek 29.
Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) remains an essential for the rounds ahead, even with a Blank Gameweek in 29. The Egyptian may well be a long-term hold for the remainder of the season.
Although his fixtures get tougher soon, selling Bryan Mbeumo (£8m) now whilst in form could be punishing. Brentford have proven to be one of the most effective attacks in the league this season, so holding him for now could be rewarding.
Forwards
Newcastle may blank in Gameweek 29, but they also have fantastic fixtures in and around that week, with double Gameweeks also ahead. Leading their attack is the excellent Alexander Isak (£9.4m). Monitoring news around his injury status will be key.
The injury to Matheus Cunha is far from ideal, but it could give Strand Larsen (£5.2m) a big opportunity to step up. Wolves have some brilliant fixtures to attack and Larsen comes in at a really nice price.
Nottingham Forest have been scintillating this season. One major reason for that is due to penalty taker Chris Wood (£7.2m). Wood has a great fixture in Gameweek 29, and good fixtures after that.
