FPL Gameweek 27 Top 10 Most Popular Picks

In this article we dive into the ownership of assets. More specifically we focus on the FPL Gameweek 27 top 10 most popular picks. To do this we simply head over to the Official Fantasy Football page and check out the highest owned players in the game.

Play ownership is becoming an increasingly significant part of the game. Knowing which players will cause us harm if they succeed and how much we will benefit from players we own could be crucial to making future transfers.

The Top Five

Erling Haaland maintains his position as the highest owned player in the game heading into FPL Gameweek 27 with 75.2% ownership. The Norwegian faces local rivals Manchester United this week, a team who he managed two goals and one assist against in Gameweek 10.

Arsenal clash with the worst team in the league next, Sheffield United. With that in mind it could be a huge week for the in-form Bukayo Saka who sits second with 58.5% ownership.

The second and final striker to make the top five is Ollie Watkins with 46.8% ownership. Watkins faces an away trip to Luton this week. The promoted side rank in the bottom three sides for several key defensive metrics in the six Gameweeks.

Kieran Trippier is the first of two defenders to make the top five this week. The Newcastle full-back has 41.7% ownership going into a match against Wolves. Trippier may find it difficult to keep a clean sheet this week. However, no defender has produced more assists (10) so he has huge attacking potential.

Completing the top five is Arsenal centre-back William Saliba with 36.8% ownership. Sheffield United have maintained some of the worst defensive stats all season so the clean sheet potential is there for the Frenchman. Saliba also scored in a recent match which suggests he also has some goal threat.

The Rest of the Top 10

As you can see, two more Manchester City players make the top 10 as they head into their match against Manchester United.

The highest owned goalkeeper in the game also remains in the top 10. West Ham’ Alphonse Areola has been disappointing recently. He could turn his recent fortune around with a game against Everton next.

Cole Palmer also makes the top 10. Chelsea blanked in Gameweek 26 so he has the potential to punish owners this week against Brentford.
