FPL Gameweek 27 Best Wildcard Team

Another round of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is coming, so we take a look at the best Wildcard team for FPL Gameweek 27. To do this, we use Fantasy Football Scout’s Members Area and the fantastic Plan FPL tool.
One of several chips provided by the game, the Wildcard allows managers to make an unlimited number of free transfers to their squad. The moves made in this one Gameweek can both fix problems and plan for the future. It’s an extremely useful weapon.
Fixtures
Below is Fantasy Football Scout’s ranking of fixture difficulty over the next six Gameweeks. Teams at the top have the easiest fixtures, while teams at the bottom have the toughest ones.

Who has the best fixtures?
It’s all about how this Wildcard fits an overall chip strategy. Let’s assume that activating it now means a manager intends to play through Blank Gameweek 29 and save the Free Hit for later.
Wolves have it good and they impressively beat Bournemouth on Saturday, though it’s not time to give up on Cherries midfielders. Off-form Chelsea have consecutive home matches versus Southampton and Leicester, while Crystal Palace and Newcastle play twice in Gameweek 32 but it’s wise not to own too many from these two because of the imminent blank.
Who has the worst fixtures?
It’s time to get off Fulham assets Antonee Robinson and Raul Jimenez. Meanwhile, Aston Villa play only five times in this period – add this to Morgan Rogers’ knock and six successive blanks, he’ll be a popular sale.
But there are tougher decisions to make for Brentford duo Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa.
Best Gameweek 27 Wildcard
Using the PlanFPL website, here is the best Wildcard team for Gameweek 27 and beyond:

Goalkeepers
This squad has over two million left in the bank and, in theory, a full XI for Blank Gameweek 29. Nottingham Forest are starting to falter but soon face Ipswich and Everton. Stopper Matz Sels rotates well with West Ham’s Alphonse Areola, who surely cemented his number-one spot by keeping a clean sheet at Arsenal.
Defenders
Helping Liverpool march towards a league title, Trent Alexander-Arnold has a superb four clean sheets and three attacking returns in his last seven matches. Yet Daniel Munoz matches this in just six outings. Both feel irresistible and can be chosen here because the other names will play in Blank Gameweek 29.
It’s always wise to cover Arsenal’s backline and Gabriel carries a strong set-piece threat. At Wolves, Rayan Ait-Nouri was disappointing to over 1.7 million managers earlier on but is a fixture-based punt. After all, he’s still the second-best defender for attacking returns (eight).
James Hill is a cheap enabler who recovered from injury to start for Bournemouth on Saturday. No defence has conceded fewer home goals.
Hopefully, transfers can be saved up to bring in Newcastle’s Lewis Hall later.
Midfielders
It’s the same for Magpies duo Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy – buying one has appeal, with Jarrod Bowen and Anthony Elanga in those spots for now. The former is playing up front and just scored a winner at the Emirates. That’s two goals in three for this established FPL talent.
As for the latter, he has three goals and six assists from his last 11, continuing his great understanding with Chris Wood. He visits Ipswich in the blank.
Justin Kluivert is there for now but – despite picking up 3.1 million new owners during the latest four Gameweeks – there could soon be a concern that his returns and minutes are dropping off.
Of course, Mohamed Salah is selected. The Egyptian is having the best FPL season of all time, where his away record of 182 points and 12 double-digit hauls is more than anybody else’s overall tallies.
And just when owners might be thinking of saying goodbye to Cole Palmer, after stumbling to one sole assist in five matches, he has these two amazing-looking home fixtures.
Forwards
Up front, Matheus Cunha has netted on three successive occasions and has a lovely fixture run. He’s the next bandwagon, having done well throughout his earlier popularity.
Chris Wood has 18 goals in 25 appearances and is hard to ignore when there are so few appealing forwards right now.
Alexander Isak and Jean-Philippe Mateta are in form but won’t participate in Blank Gameweek 29. Maybe some saved-up transfers can purchase the Swede later.
Finally, the third forward is new Man City signing Omar Marmoush. He’s less than half the price of Erling Haaland and recently bagged a hat-trick.
