FPL Gameweek 24 Best Free Hit Team

Last modified date

The new Fantasy Premier League continues this week, so in this article we build the FPL Gameweek 24 best free hit team. We use the fantastic PlanFPL website and its brilliant FPL planner tool to build our Free Hit.

Our FPL Gameweek 24 best Free Hit Team can be extremely useful to FPL managers. The Free Hit is one of several chips provided by the game. It allows managers to change their entire squad for one Gameweek only until our original team returns in the following Gameweek.

Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 24. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Who has the best fixtures?

Liverpool and Everton sit at the top of the fixture ticker this week, mostly due to the fact they have a double Gameweek.

Ipswich, Southampton and Aston Villa also rank among the top teams with the easiest fixtures this week.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Bournemouth, Manchester City, West Ham, Fulham and Brighton all rank among the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.

Goalkeepers

With a double Gameweek ahead, Everton have become much more appealing than usual. Jordan Pickford (£5m) is arguably their best option going into the round, as he leads the way for bonus points in his position.

Starting their latest match between the sticks, West Ham’ Alphonse Areola (£4.2m) will likely stay on the bench.

Defenders

Everton have been one of the best defences in the league for total clean sheets kept, so disregarding them in a double, could be unwise. One of their most offensively capable defenders is centre-back James Tarkowksi (£4.8m), who can be a goal threat from set-plays.

Liverpool rank among the top two for total clean sheets, so investing in their defence during a double Gameweek could be beneficial. Offering more attacking threat than his teammates, is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m), who sits above every other in his position for non-penalty expected goal involvement.

Keeping five clean sheets in their previous eight matches, Newcastle have more than impressed recently. Benefitting from this form was full-back Lewis Hall (£5.1m). Hall has produced an assist in four of his last eight matches, so evidently has multiple routes to points against Fulham this week.

On the bench and unlikely to feature is Aston Villa’ Lucas Digne (£4.6m) and Nottingham Forest’ Murillo (£4.7m).

Midfielders

With Everton and Bournemouth ahead this week, Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) isn’t just an essential, and arguably the best captaincy option, many will also be planning to triple captain him. The Egyptian has been relentless this season, even in tougher fixtures.

Tottenham have been woeful from a defensive perspective this season, especially as of late. The Bees rank among the top sides in the league for total goals scored, and their best option is penalty taker Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m).

Still maintaining some of the best underlying attacking metrics in the league, Chelsea remain a good attack to invest in. West Ham have produced some poor defensive data this campaign, so taking both points into account and his excellent season overall, Cole Palmer (£11.3m) is a brilliant selection.

Only Southampton rank worse than Wolves for total goals conceded thus far, which makes them a great team to target. To target their defence, Morgan Rogers (£5.6m) could be a good pick. Rogers also enables money elsewhere, which gives him even more appeal.

Amad Diallo (£5.6m) comes in nice and cheap, and has been one of Manchester United’ best attackers since manger Ruben Amorim took over. Diallo will only come into the starting XI if any of the other attackers fail to feature.

Forwards

Cody Gakpo (£7.6m) showed exactly what he is capable of in the previous round – bagging a huge 16-point return after scoring twice and creating one assist. The Dutchman is also one of his sides most reliable attackers in terms of gametime.

The injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and back-to-back wins for Everton in the previous two matches, makes Iliman Ndiaye (£5.4m) a good selection. Not only is Ndiaye likely to be on penalties in Calvert-Lewin’ absence, as proven in Gameweek 23, but he has also scored in each of his last two fixtures.

Newcastle have been lethal offensively recently, so investing in their attack this week could be wise. In excellent form recently is Alexander Isak (£9.5m), who has scored in eight of his last nine matches.
