Goalkeepers

There are several good goalkeeper options this week, but one we could look to is Dean Henderson (£4.5m). Crystal Palace have made big improvements as of late – losing just one of their previous 10 matches in the league. This week they face Leicester, who rank among the worst two sides for total attempts on goal and total shots on target.

Backing up Henderson, in the unlikely event he doesn’t feature, is West Ham’ Alphonse Areola (£4.2m).

Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m) may have been arguably poor in his previous game, but that doesn’t take away the fact he is one of the most attacking defenders in the game based on the data. He also plays for one of the best defences in the league.

Another player who could offer multiple routes to points this week is Gabriel (£6.4m). The Arsenal centre-back faces Tottenham this week at home, and he goes into the match having managed three goals this season already.

One side who deserve more credit from a defensive perspective is Newcastle. The Magpies have managed four clean sheets in their last five matches. Their standout asset at the back is Lewis Hall (£4.9m), he has produced three assists in his last five matches.

Sitting on the bench, unlikely to feature for us, but enabling money elsewhere in the squad is Leicester’ Conor Coady (£4m) and Ipswich’ Jacob Greaves (£3.9m).

Midfielders

Manchester United put on a courageous display in their 2-2 draw to top of the league Liverpool last week. If they take that attacking form into their next match, they could do some major damage to the woeful Southampton defence. The pick of the bunch in terms of attacking assets could be penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m).

Scoring between 2-4 goals in every one of their last seven matches, means Newcastle are in elite scoring form. To gain from those goals, it would be wise to add a second Newcastle attacker into our teams. Anthony Gordon (£7.5m) could well fill that role, after banking a return in every one of his last five games.

Liverpool continue to impress offensively – racking up more goals, more big chances, more attempts on goal and more shots on target than any other side. Nottingham Forest may prove challenging, but Mohamed Salah (£13.6m) has been relentless this season.

Up next for Chelsea is Bournemouth at home. The Blues will be desperate to get back to winning ways, and influencing that is likely to be penalty taker Cole Palmer (£11.4m). Seven double-digit hauls already this season makes him one of the most explosive assets in the game heading into the fixture.

Ranking joint worst in the league for total goals conceded, Leicester are evidently a team to target. Crystal Palace seem to be firing from an offensive perspective, and their cheapest option is Ismaila Sarr (£5.9m), Sarr is one of several good options in the Eagles attack, but he also helps enable money elsewhere.

Forwards

Proving to be absolutely essential lately is Alexander Isak (£9.3m). Isak hasn’t failed to score in any of his last seven matches, making him one of the most in-form players in the league currently. He also comes up against a very poor Wolves defence next, so going without him could be a huge mistake.

Joining Isak in the frontline is arguably an asset who has frustrated as of late. Brighton penalty taker Joao Pedro (£5.7m) has been hit and miss recently. However, this week the Brazilian face an Ipswich side, who sit second worst so far for total big chances conceded.

On the bench, Mexican Raul Jimenez (£5.6m) could be an excellent option off the bench. Some may even decide to start him ahead of Sarr, off the back of scoring a brace in his latest match. The Fulham man faces West Ham in the round ahead, which could be a great opportunity for him to continue his form.
