FPL Gameweek 13 Best Wildcard Team

The new round of Fantasy Premier League is approaching so we take a look at the FPL Gameweek 13 best wildcard team. To do this we use the Fantasy Football Scout members area and Plan FPL and their fantastic tools.

Checking out our best Wildcard team each week can be extremely helpful. The Wildcard is one of several chips provided by the game. Wildcard users can make unlimited and permanent changes to their team before the deadline ahead.

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. We can also see the teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures for the next six Gameweeks.

Who has the best fixtures?

Wolves, Brighton, Arsenal, Bournemouth and Chelsea all rank amongst the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest all rank amongst the bottom five sides with the toughest fixtures.

Best Wildcard Team

With the help of the above and Plan FPL we built the best Wildcard for Gameweek 13:

Goalkeepers

With the lack of convincing defender picks at Chelsea and Brentford, and because their fixtures rotate well around each other long-term, it could be viable to stick with both Robert Sanchez (£4.7m) and Mark Flekken (£4.5m) between the sticks.

Defenders

Arsenal are coming into a great set of fixtures, so investing from a defensive perspective could be beneficial. Scoring three goals already this season, and arguably their best defender option, is centre-back Gabriel (£6.1m).

Another side with a great schedule is Brighton. The Seagulls have nicely priced defensive assets to pick from, and one of them is centre-back Paul van Hecke (£4.5m), who is one of their most reliable options for gametime.

Wolves continue to improve with softening fixtures. Although yet to convince defensively, Wolves offer up Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.8m). The Algerian has managed three goals and one assist already this season, so could offer multiple routes to points.

Tottenham have three great fixtures in their next four matches. They have also been hit and miss so far defensively, but go into their next game off the back of keeping a clean sheet against Manchester City. Benefitting from that clean sheet was Pedro Porro (£5.5m), who also scored during the game.

Completing the midfield is Newcastle’ Lewis Hall (£4.4m). Hall has picked up a return in three of his last five matches for Newcastle. The Magpies appear to have fairly good fixtures coming up, which suggests Hall has potential moving forward.

Midfielders

In relentless form and bagging a whopping eight double-digit hauls this season is Mohamed Salah (£13.1m). The Egyptian has been hugely influential in Liverpool’ relentless form this season, so also offers himself up as a captaincy option.

Chelsea face several poor defences in their upcoming matches, so buying their talisman and penalty taker Cole Palmer (£10.9m) seems wise. Palmer sits as the second highest scorer in the game this season due to excellent performances.

The return of Martin Odegaard appears to be a significant one for Arsenal. His return has had an immediate affect on the frontline, with Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) benefitting. The Arsenal penalty taker bagged a double-digit haul in his most recent game and faces great fixtures ahead.

Brighton clash with two of the three promoted sides next up, which could mean plenty of potential for their attacking assets. One of those assets is Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m), who found the net in Gameweek 12. In a time where there is a shortage of convincing midfield options, Mitoma could be a hugely rewarding pick.

Completing the midfield is Morgan Rogers (£5.4m). Aston Villa may have been inconsistent lately, but they come up against poor defences after Chelsea this week. Rogers is one of the cheapest routes into a very efficient frontline.

Forwards

Brighton have scored two or more goals in six of their last eight matches, which shows just how good they are offensively at the moment. The fixtures ahead suggest that a double up in attack could be rewarding, and penalty taker Joao Pedro (£5.6m) stands out.

With two double-digit hauls in the last two fixtures, and returns in five of his last six, Matheus Cunha (£6.9m) has been one of the most successful assets in the game recently. Wolves have a lovely run of fixtures ahead of them for their star man to add to his season tally.

Chelsea rank third best so far this season for goals scored. Contributing to those goals is Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m). Jackson goes into his run of fixtures off the back of scoring and assisting in his latest match.
