FPL Gameweek 12 Top 5 Best Players to Buy on Deadline Day
The new round of Fantasy Premier League is here. For that reason we pick out the FPL Gameweek 12 top 5 players to buy on deadline day. To do this we consider several different factors including player form, statistics and fixture difficulty.
FPL Deadline days can be some of the most stressful and exciting times of the season. Because of that we clear out the noise and pick five players you should be considering in your team ahead of the new round. We’ll avoid players like Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland due to their already high ownership. So, lets dive in!
1. Cole Palmer
Over half of the game own Cole Palmer (£10.9m) heading into the new round, but over 46% still do not. After being spotted in full training this week, Palmer seems likely to start. The Chelsea penalty taker faces two of three promoted sides in the next three matches, and he goes into his Gameweek 12 fixture against Leicester, having managed seven goals and five assists already this season.
2. Alexander Isak
With the third most transfers in ahead of the new round, is Alexander Isak (£8.5m). Newcastle’s back-to-back wins and softening fixtures, suggests their man man and penalty taker could have potential. Isak has managed a goal in each of his last three matches in the league, so heads into his clash with an inconsistent West Ham side, in top form.
3. Nicolas Jackson
Owning flat track bully Cole Palmer heading into a good run of fixtures, may not be enough to benefit from the potential Chelsea goals ahead. With that in mind, teammate and striker Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m) could be a great pick. Just short of Palmer’s non penalty goal involvement tally, Jackson has been Chelsea’s second most dangerous attacker this season.
4. Bukayo Saka
Arsenal are another side who have a lovely fixture run ahead, starting with a meeting against Nottingham Forest at home. The Gooners will be hoping to recapture their start-of-the-season form, but they will need the help of their penalty taker and standout attacker Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) to force that change.
5. Bruno Fernandes
The second most transferred in player ahead of the round is Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m). The Manchester United penalty taker may face Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, but not before they clash with Ipswich, who rank the worst in the league for total big chances conceded. Fernandes seems to have found his form – having bagged back-to-back hauls in his last two matches.
