The new round Premier League football is approaching so we take a look at the FPL Gameweek 12 best differentials. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we utilise the fixture ticker and underlying stats to pick out some of the best players with low ownership.
Our FPL Gameweek 12 best differentials could give you a much needed boost to start the new season. Differentials are players who have low ownership. If those players are successful then it could both rank and mini-league position.
Pedro Neto – 1% Ownership
Chelsea have a great opportunity to bounce back this week after two consecutive draws. The Blues come up against newly promoted side Ipswich this week. Although impressive at times this season, the Tractor Boys rank as the worst side in the league for both total big chances conceded and total shots on target conceded.
There are several ways to invest in the Chelsea attack, but one player who may go under the radar is Pedro Neto (£6.2m). Neto is becoming a key member of the Chelsea frontline recently – starting his sides last three league matches, whilst also producing a goal contribution in two of them.
Joao Pedro – 7.7% Ownership
Brighton have been hit and miss this season in terms of results, but they have been a constant threat in front of goal. In fact, the Seagulls rank amongst the top six sides in the division for goals scored so far. They take that scoring form into a game against Bournemouth, who have been inconsitent defensively.
Picking between the Brighton attackers could be tough task. That’s only made more difficult by the return of Joao Pedro (£5.4m) from injury. Prior to his injury Pedro bagged two returns in just three matches and upon his return last week banked a double-digit haul. The Brazilian also takes his sides penalties, which is another factor that gives him an edge.
Reece James – 0.7% Ownership
Chelsea don’t just have attacking potential this week, the Blues could also pick up a clean sheet. Leicester lay ahead, who have won just two of their games this season. When compared to every other side in the league, the Foxes also sit amongst the worst three for total attempts on goal, total big chances and total shots on target.
Injuries have plagued his Chelsea career, but after weeks of staying fit and enjoying a full rest during the international break, Reece James (£4.9m) should start this week. The Chelsea captain has proven he can be a major attacking threat, and with some set pieces at his disposal, he goes into the new round with multiple routes to points.
Yoane Wissa – 8.2% Ownership
Consistency has been a problem for a lot of sides, especially Brentford. In fact, their last four matches consist of two wins and two losses. One thing they have proven fully capable of is scoring goals, of which they rank second best in the league for.
Everton up next, could be a good opportunity to add the the Bees goal tally and striker Yoane Wissa (£6.1m) is one of their biggest goal threats. Since returning from injury, Wissa has managed two double-digit hauls in just three games. He has also proven to be one of the most effective players in the league this season, after hitting eight returns in eight matches.
Alex Iwobi – 2.2% Ownership
Fulham appear to have turned a corner recently. The Cottagers have won both of their last two league matches, scoring twice in each. This week the London club play at home and they do so against Wolves, one of the worst defensive units in the league thus far.
For many, the obvious picks include Raul Jimenez and Emile Smith Rowe. However, Alex Iwobi (£5.6m) has also been hugely influential for his side. With good results comes consistency for Iwobi, after scoring and assisting in his previous three games.
