FPL Gameweek 11 Top 5 Best Players to Buy on Deadline Day

Last modified date

The new round of Fantasy Premier League is here. For that reason we pick out the FPL Gameweek 11 top 5 players to buy on deadline day. To do this we consider several different factors including player form, statistics and fixture difficulty.

FPL Deadline days can be some of the most stressful and exciting times of the season. Because of that we clear out the noise and pick five players you should be considering in your team ahead of the new round. We’ll avoid players like Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland due to their already high ownership. So, lets dive in!

1. Dominic Solanke

As well as ranking amongst the top two sides in the league for most key underlying attacking metrics this season, Tottenham also scored 3-4 goals in four of their previous six matches. Buying into the Tottenham attack could be crucial this week.

Contributing to that last point is the fact Spurs come up against a poor Ipswich backline next. Leading the the exciting frontline is Dominic Solanke (£7.7m), who picked up six returns in his last six league matches. Solanke will be full of confidence off the back of producing a huge two goals and an assist in Gameweek 10 against Aston Villa.

2. Rayan Ait Nouri

Wolves are far from being defensively sound, but they have a fantastic run of fixtures ahead, starting with a fixture against a poor Southampton side. The Saints have so far scored the least amount of goals in the league, which could suggest that Wolves have clean sheet potential this week.

Poor performances from premium defenders like Pedro Porro, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Gabriel are forcing FPL managers onto the market for defenders, and Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.7m) could be the perfect replacement. The Algerian has proven deadly in front of goal – scoring with three of the four shots on target he has had this season.

3. Matheus Cunha

Three meetings against newly promoted sides in the next seven, along with clashes against Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton and Fulham, makes Wolves one of the best teams to invest in in regards to fixture difficulty.

Wolves are extremely inconsistent, but you can’t doubt their attacking ability. In fact, Gary O’Neil’s men have scored 2-3 goals in three of their last four matches. Contributing to that form was Matheus Cunha (£6.7m). Not only is Cunha sitting above every other forward in the league for chances and big chances created so far this season but he has also managed a return in three of his previous four games.

4. Antoine Semenyo

Three losses after playing the likes of Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City in their first 10 fixtures could be seen as impressive. Bournemouth’s torrid run of fixtures comes to an end this week as they clash with Brentford.

Interestingly, no side have conceded more shots on target this season than Brentford, and that’s something Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) can take advantage of. The Ghanian has amassed more attempts on goal than any other midfielder in the league this season, an impressive feat for someone playing for an inconsistent Bournemouth side.

5. Yoane Wissa

There may be question marks over their ability to defend, but Brentford have been one of the best side in the league when it comes to goals. The Bees rank amongst the top four sides for goals scored so far and they take that scoring form into a game against Bournemouth backline.

Bryan Mbeumo has become one of the most consistent assets in the game this season. His performances have driven up his ownership which in turn has made it difficult to benefit from Brentford’s goals. One way around this is by investing in teammate and forward Yoane Wissa (£6m). Although only playing seven matches due to injury this season Wissa produced an impressive six returns, showing how efficient he can be when fit.
