With the help of the above and Plan FPL we built the best Wildcard for Gameweek 11:

Goalkeepers

Goalkeepers continue to underperform in general so it could be worth targeting the fixtures. The double of Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez (£4.7m) and Brentford’s Mark Flekken (£4.5m) would mean facing three promoted sides in the next six games. Both have a schedule that rotates extremely well with each other long-term.

Defenders

Budget isn’t something we need to worry about and Liverpool continue to dominate in regards to clean sheets. With both in mind and his excellent distribution data there is no reason we shouldn’t back Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7m).

Wolves have brilliant fixtures long-term so buying into their defence could be beneficial. Although not the most convincing defence Wolves have flying full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.7m). The Algerian has scored three goals and registered one assist in his previous five matches.

Another player who could be worth sticking with is Rico Lewis (£4.9m). Lewis appears to be one of Pep Guardiola’s most favoured players this season and after his rest in Gameweek 10, he could go onto start consecutive matches.

Bournemouth are another side who have great fixtures ahead. After two assists in his latest match Milos Kerkez (£4.4m) could be their most attacking asset in defence. The Cherries also have clean sheet potential in their matches ahead.

Arsenal are creeping back up the fixture ticker and it may be a matter of time before we see the elite defensive form they produced last season. Centre-back Gabriel (£6.5m) remains the best defender in the league for both total big chances and total shots in the box.

Midfielders

The Cherries face several of the worst defences in the league ahead and their most potent and reliable attacker is Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m). The Ghanian has produced a return in half of his matches so far, which is fantastic considering he has faced Manchester City, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool already.

Six double-digit hauls in his first 10 matches makes Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) the most explosive asset in the game thus far. Liverpool sit top of the table for a reason so investing in their standout attacker could be essential, especially when considering captaincy.

Chelsea’s fixtures are mixed but they face two of the three promoted sides in the next several rounds. As many know Cole Palmer (£11m) can be a flat track bully when it comes to the weaker sides so he may even offer himself up as a captaincy candidate. Monitoring news around his recent knock will be absolutely key. If he is ruled out long-term, FPL managers could switch to the much cheaper Christopher Nkunku (£5.9m) who will likely play and take penalties in Palmer’s absence.

Brentford remain one of the highest scoring teams in the league in terms of goal scored. With that in mind and their fair schedule it makes sense to stick with penalty taker and talisman Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m).

After a tough fixture with Liverpool, Aston Villa have great fixtures from an attacking perspective. Because of this, his reliability in terms of minutes and his recent form, Morgan Rogers (£5.4m) could be one of the best budget midfielders in the game currently.

Forwards

Wolves may not be the most reliable side in terms of results but they have scored in every game since Gameweek 1. Sustaining better distribution data than any other forward and picking up an attacking return in three of his last four games suggests Matheus Cunha (£6.6m) could be their standout pick.

Tottenham’s upcoming fixture against Manchester City may put many managers off but every other team they face in the graphic above could see plenty of potential for a Spurs attacker. Spearheading the frontline is Dominic Solanke (£7.6m) who banked a huge 16-point haul for his efforts against Aston Villa in Gameweek 10.

Bryan Mbeumo’s ownership makes benefiting from Brentford’s goals limiting due to his high ownership. One way around this is by investing in Yoane Wissa (£6m). Wissa has returned six times in just seven matches this season, making him one of the most effective strikers in the league.
