FPL Gameweek 1: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers

FPL Gameweek 1: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers gives Fantasy Premier League managers an early look at the players expected to deliver the biggest hauls in the opening round.

Using the latest data and projections, this list highlights who the algorithms believe will lead the way in points. This will help you spot potential captaincy options and strong early-season picks.

6-10th

FPL Gameweek 1: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers
  • 10th – Kaoru Mitoma looks set to pick up 4.9 points this week. Brighton have an opening match against a Fulham side who won all three of their pre-season matches.
  • 9th – In at ninth is Aston Villa’ Ollie Watkins. Watkins is expected to match Mitoma on points, and that shouldn’t come as a surprise after scoring five goals in five pre-season matches.
  • 8th – Placed in eighth is Cody Gakpo. Whilst many within the FPL community select his teammates, the Dutchman could hold down his position on the left wing.
  • 7th – One man those above are selecting ahead of Gakpo is new Liverpool signing Florian Wirtz (£8.5m). Wirtz bagged double-digits for both goals and assists last season with former club Leverkusen – displaying his multiple routes to points.
  • 6th – Just ahead of the Liverpool attackers mentioned is Jarrod Bowen. West Ham have one of the best matches on paper ahead of Gameweek 1 – as they face off with newly promoted Sunderland.

5th – 5.3 Points

Tottenham full-back Pedro Porro (£5.5m) is the only defender to make the top five this week. Under the guise of new manager Thomas Frank, Tottenham should see immediate success with a plum first home fixture against newly promoted side Burnley.

4th – 5.7 Points

Another player predicted to do well is Erling Haaland (£14m). The Manchester City striker faces a favourable fixture away from home against Wolves. The Norwegian banked 22 goals last season – a total many within the community think he’ll beat this time around.

3rd – 6.0 Points

FPL Gameweek 1: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers

Breaking into the top three with six points is Tottenham midfielder Brennan Johnson (£7m). Tottenham ranked among the top eight sides for total goals and shots on target, and one of their most effective attackers was the Welshman. A home match against Burnley could be a perfect opportunity for him to succeed.

2nd – 6.9 Points

FPL Gameweek 1: Top 10 Predicted Points Scorers

Chelsea play their first fixture of the 2025-26 campaign at home this week. The Blues meet with fellow London side and Community Shield winners Crystal Palace. It may not be an easy game for Enzo Maresca and his men, but it could still be a great opening for penalty taking midfielder Cole Palmer (£10.5m) to get points on the board.

1st – 7.3 Points

Yep you guessed it, Mohamed Salah (£14.5m) looks set to bag the biggest return this week. The Liverpool midfielder amassed a record breaking 300+ FPL points last season, due to an eye-watering 29 goals and 18 assists.
