With the new round edging closer we bring in Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLReaction’ (Louis) to provide his top three picks for Gameweek 26.
Here I will give you my top three picks for Gameweek 26 of which I think could be going under the radar. Firstly I have written a list of options that are more obvious:
The Obvious Options
- Ollie Watkins (£8.5m)
- Pascal Gross (£6.5m)
- Rasmus Hojlund (£7.2m)
- Alejandro Garnacho (£5m)
- Erling Haaland (£14.4m)
- Phil Foden (£8.1m)
- Kevin De Bruyne (£10.8m)
- Bukayo Saka (£9.1m)
- Hwang-Hee Chan (£5.6m)
- Pedro Neto (5.8m)
Simon Adingra
Brighton have been inconsistent recently – losing two and winning two of their last four league matches. But, when Brighton do perform they tend to go big and tend to score plenty of goals. We have seen this in their recent 4-1 and 5-0 victories against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United respectively.
As we can see, Brighton have the ability to punish any side and with key players back fully fit from Asia Cup and AFCON, we could well see that again this week against Everton. The Toffees have struggled for results recently – failing to win any of their last six matches. They also shipped two goals in two of their last three matches. Both of which highlights Everton as a team to target.
One player who has returned from his national side is 22-year-old Simon Adingra (£5m). Adingra didn’t just feature for Ivory Coast but he went onto win the whole thing and impressed throughout – creating two assists and scoring a goal. The Brighton midfielder also marked his return to club football with a brace against Sheffield United which helped him to a massive 15-point haul.
Pablo Sarabia
I have been really Impressed with Wolves this season. They have transformed from one of the poorest attacking teams to one of the most convincing. The Wolves attackers are gaining some serious traction this week and that’s no big surprise considering they racked up nine goals in their last four matches against the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United.
One of the biggest appeals around the Wolves attackers this week is of course the fact they face Sheffield United. The Blades look destined to go down after a torrid campaign and their recent defensive data isn’t promising either. In fact, they have conceded a mammoth 14 goals in their last four matches which averages out at 3.5 per match.
Sheffield United look like the best team to target with opposing attackers this week and whilst Hwang Hee Chan and Pedro Neto become prime targets, there is another. Pablo Sarabia (£4.7m) comes in even cheaper than his teammates. When it comes to gametime Sarabia has started nine of his last 10 matches and returned in half of them. Not only does he take his sides corners but many fans believe he is likely to take penalties too.
Ivan Toney
Brentford aren’t the most convincing team but we have to take into account that they have just played both Manchester City and Liverpool. We could highlight however their recent 2-0 win over Wolves which doesn’t sound impressive, but it really is considering how strong Wolves have been.
West ham lay ahead and although traditionally good defensively the Hammers have been in rapid decline. In fact, not only have they failed to win any of their last six matches but they also shipped a huge 11 goals in their last three games.
With the above in mind Ivan Toney (£8.2m) becomes a better option. Since his return from a long-term ban Toney has secured a return in four matches. The only games he failed to return in were two meetings he had with Manchester City.
