FPL: @FPLReaction’ Top Three Picks for Gameweek 15
With the new round edging closer we bring in Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLReaction’ (Louis) to reel off his top three picks for Gameweek 15.
Here I will give you my top three picks for Gameweek 15 to try and help with that. There are some very obvious options with huge potential for the new round and whilst I will list them, I will also provide you with three different picks who I think could also do well.
The Obvious Options
- Bukayo Saka (£8.8m)
- William Saliba (£5.5m)
- Bryan Mbeumo (£7.1m)
- Mohamed Salah (£13.1m)
- Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.9m)
- Kostas Tsimikas (£4.8m)
- Darwin Nunez (£7.6m)
- Erling Haaland (£14m)
- Kieran Trippier (£7m)
Gabriel Jesus
A lot of managers will be looking to invest in Arsenal this week, those that didn’t the week before anyway. They look like a team that are going to challenge Manchester City this season and this week is a great opportunity to bag another three points to close the gap.
The above goes hand in hand with the fact that Arsenal face Luton this week. The Hatters are still one of the few teams yet to keep a clean sheet but they are also the worst in the division for big chances conceded which makes them a team to target.
With some looking for a striker to fill the void of Ollie Watkins then Gabriel Jesus (£7.8m) could be the player to do that. The Brazilian has returned from injury and one of his first matches back was his Champions League match against Lens. There Jesus managed to score and create an assist which is a huge showing of his potential.
Michael Olise
Crystal Palace may not be one of the best teams in the league from an attacking point of view but they they are scoring goals. In fact the Eagles have netted in all of their last four matches which should be enough going into the match against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth have improved their overall form recently but they sit amongst the worst teams in the league in terms of defensive statistics. They rank amongst the worst three teams in the division for expected goals conceded, actual goals conceded, shots on target conceded and big chances conceded.
With the above in mind Michael Olise (£5.8m) could have huge potential. We should start with Eberechi Eze. Eze is instrumental for Crystal Palace but his recent injury could rule him out for a while. When comparing Eze’ and Olise’ 21/22 campaign the latter edged the former for both big chances and chances created. Olise’ return to injury was marked with a classy goal and a huge 10-point return in Gameweek 13. Olise will likely take on the talisman role with set pieces as well so has multiple routes to points.
Morgan Gibbs-White
My third and final pick is another midfielder. There are so many midfielder options this season I wish we had more slots! Anyway, Nottingham Forest, similar to Crystal Palace aren’t blowing us away with goals but they’re still proving efficient – scoring two goals in each of their last three matches.
Nottingham Forest come up against Fulham this week. The Cottagers haven’t just conceded five goals in their last two matches but they also sit in the worst five teams for expected goals conceded, shots on target conceded and big chances conceded. Fulham are without a doubt a team to target.
Whilst some will look at Chris Wood who has taken over the strikers role, others could look to midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White (£5.7m). If there wasn’t so many other great midfielder options Gibbs-White would probably be one of the most owned midfielders. The fixtures are fantastic, he takes his sides penalties and he’s returned in last two matches.
