FPL Festive Period Fixtures - Fantasy Football Community

In this article we take a look at the FPL festive period fixtures. Christmas time is the busiest period in football for the Premier League. This in turn creates a hectic period for FPL managers, so knowing when the Gameweeks and deadlines is essential.

There are four Gameweek deadlines from now until January 4, which means four rounds of football in just 17 days. Taking that it account, knowing the FPL Festive period fixtures can really help plan for the busy schedule ahead.

Gameweek 17

The Gameweek 17 deadline is December 21st Saturday 11am UK Time. Fortunately, FPL managers have a full week to prepare for this round.

The round opens with a clash between Aston Villa and Manchester City. GW17 then comes to a close on Sunday 22nd December with Spurs v Liverpool.

Gameweek 18

Gameweek 18 then commences just several days after Gameweek 17, on Thursday 11am December 26th. The opening match of the round sees Manchester City face Everton at 12:30.

The final kick-off in Gameweek 18 and closing out the round is Arsenal v Ipswich, which falls on Friday 27th December.

Gameweek 19

In the quickest turnaround of the campaign, Gameweek 19 commences just two days after Gameweek 18 ends. The first fixture plays on Sunday 29th December at 2:30 pm. Opening up the round is Leicester v Manchester City, which also leads into four 3pm fixtures.

The final fixture on Gameweek 19 is Brentford v Arsenal, ending the round on Wednesday 1st January.

Gameweek 20

Just three days after Gameweek 19 ends, FPL managers have to contend with Gameweek 20. Opening up the new round is Spurs v Newcastle at 12:30 pm on Saturday 4th January.

That round lasts just three days before going into the international break. Football then breaks for 12 days until returning on Tuesday 14th January.
