FPL Experts Talk Price Changes
In this article FPL experts talk price changes ahead of the new season. X is one of the best places to go to talk FPL and we do that here as we pick out some of the best posts surrounding the recently revealed player prices.
Whilst covering FPL experts talk price changes we can learn a lot. Price changes happen every single season due to performances in the previous season. So, seeing what some of the most experienced managers say around prices can be extremely beneficial when it comes to building a first draft.
@FPLGOAT7
We had lots of big prices drop ahead of the launch and one of the most anticipated prices was that of Cole Palmer (£10.5m). Palmer picked up more points than any other player last season which led to the biggest price rise in FPL history for the campaign ahead.
Palmer may have been the best player in the game last season but it’s teammate Christopher Nkunku’s price tag of £6.5m that caught the eye early on. Although categorised as a forward in 23/24 Nkunku is now a midfielder. With the potential to still play in the forward role, and at that price, he could well become a shoo-in for many depending on pre-season.

FPL Olympian was one of many in the community to touch upon the Manchester City player prices. Not many expected Erling Haaland to come in at a huge £15m. His price-tag has ultimately led to a huge debate amongst FPL managers.
It doesn’t help Haaland that both Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden both come in at £9.5m. Many believe that either of the players mentioned could well cover Haaland’s absence during the season but whether or not managers can avoid the Norwegian when Gameweek 1 arrives is a different story.
@FPLMarcin
Marcin touched on a very good point during the price reveals. Everton were one of the best defences in the Premier League last season – keeping an impressive 13 clean sheets. This of course helped the Everton defenders listed below to a £5m price-tag.
The issue with the above is that the game has also provided us with some excellent £4.5m defenders this season. The likes of Aston Villa’ Ezri Konsa, the Chelsea centre-backs and Lewis Dunk could all become more viable options than the pricier Everton centre-backs.
@FPLFocal
Another side who seem to be gaining some traction ahead of the new season is Arsenal. The ‘Gooners’ reigned superior in defence last campaign – conceding less goals and keeping more clean sheets than any other side in the league.
Many within the community were anticipating hefty price-tags for the likes of Ben White (£6.5m), William Saliba (£6m) and Gabriel (£6m) and that is exactly what we got.
With fixtures against Aston Villa, Brighton, Tottenham and Manchester City in the first five, FPL managers could well avoid the Arsenal defence early on.
@FPL_Harry
Harry was amongst the FPL managers engaging when the price reveals dropped. One of the most controversial price reveals came with Joao Pedro (£5.5m).
Pedro leads the Brighton frontline and takes their penalties but still comes in considerably cheaper than other strikers. Many have described Joao Pedro as a ‘shoo-in’ to start the season and it is difficult to disagree with that.
