FPL Experts Ahead of the Gameweek 35
We bring in the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 35. It has been a whirlwind Gameweek 34 with lots of shocks and surprises of which some of the best managers and biggest personalities in the FPL community have reacted to. They also highlight players, teams and chips looking ahead.
Catching up with some FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 35 could be hugely beneficial for fantasy managers. From them we can emphasise some of the best and worst performances which can then have an effect on future planning.
@FPLOlympian
Gameweek 34 started with a bang as we were treated to a huge 11 goals in the first two matches. One team some were interested in ahead of the new round was of course Sheffield United. The Blades were one of seven teams with a Double this week.
Most of the above showing interest were mostly keen on Brereton Diaz who picked up a monstrous 18-point haul recently. As FPL Olympian states, Brereton had two big chances early on and owners were extremely unlucky to not pick up anything from the game. Manchester United lay ahead next so he has just one more good opportunity to reward his owners.

Arsenal’ double Gameweek meant that they too became a popular team to invest in ahead of the round. Deciding which three Arsenal players to opt for became a major discussion within the community. Some selected a double defence and others went for double attack.
Those that picked a double defence were rewarded in their first match against Wolves. But it was those that chose between Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard that had the most eventful start to the week. The latter scored in the 95th minute to secure a huge nine points whilst Havertz failed to pick up anything of significance. Havertz has just one match remaining to pick up a return, and against his former club Chelsea of all teams.
@FPL_Harry
It could be an interesting Gameweek for Erling Haaland owners. One of the issues for Free Hitters this week was that they felt obliged to exclude Erling Haaland from their draft ahead of the new round. This was because he does not have a double Gameweek like others.
As shared by Harry, Haaland was not in the squad for the Cup match against Chelsea which has sparked concern amongst non free hitters that he will not play in the upcoming game against Brighton. If that is the case, then free hitters could have gotten away with one this week.
@FFScout_Joe
Some have already started to look ahead and plan for the next round. Fantasy Football Scout contributor Joe was one of those managers as we can see. Gameweek 35 looks to be a popular round for the Wildcard and Joe has provided his first draft.
Joe highlights some of the challenges he and many will likely face when creating a Wildcard draft. One of the biggest debates is whether to hold on to Arsenal and Liverpool players. Neither side have a double Gameweek in 37 but hold some of the most consistent assets in the game. Heavily owned players like Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka could punish those that choose to sell so their inclusion or exclusion could be hugely significant.
We did some vital planning for Gameweek 35 and 36 in this article here.
