We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 8. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.
Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 8 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.
@FPLMarcin
Content creator Marcin reflected how most were feeling in the build up to Gameweek 7. Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka was flagged on the game and wasn’t seen in the training photos ahead of the deadline.
Many managers sold Saka before Gameweek 7 due to not knowing whether he would start or not. Saka ended up starting the match against Bournemouth and picked up nine points due to his goal. He faces Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle in the next four matches so we could see sellers stick with their decisions to leave him out.
@FPLFrasier
A lot of FPL managers have a very difficult decision to make regarding their teams. Whether to include Mohamed Salah has become a major debate in the community as it was ahead of the new campaign. His inclusion is a pricey one and would mean sacrificing top performing assets.
One player many would have to leave out to include Salah in their squads is Ollie Watkins. The Aston Villa striker picked up a return in all but one of his matches so far which highlights his consistency. Not just that but he put the sword to Brighton in Gameweek 7 – bagging a huge 23 points for his three goals, two assists and three bonus.
@SnakeFpl
Luton had a double Gameweek in 7 so some within the community decided to back them even when knowing the Hatters were in poor form. For that reason a large portion of the FPL community decided to avoid and even mock – comparing him to Watford and Dennis when they last had a double.
The risk takers and double Gameweek fanatics came out on top as Luton striker Carlton Morris found the net and secured a cool eight points. Not only did he beat Erling Haaland but Morris also has another match to further reward his new owners. He then faces Tottenham and Aston Villa in the three fixtures after that so he could even be an immediate sell after his double.
@FlapjackFpl
It was another frustrating week for Marcus Rashford managers. The Manchester United midfielder has mustered up just two returns in seven matches this season which is well below owners expectations. If that wasn’t bad enough Rashford has also failed to return in any of his last three matches.
Because of the above some within the community have had enough and are even making the early transfer out this week well before the Gameweek 8 deadline. Fantasy Football Scout contributor is one of those managers who as we can see has opted for the in-form Tottenham midfielder Son as Rashford’ replacement.
@Pras_fpl
Fantasy Football Scout contributor Pras made a brave call to sell Bukayo Saka this week who started and scored as we have already seen. However, one of his most successful assets this week was Kieran Trippier who he brought into his side.
Trippier is in a serious run of form now – banking a huge 38 points in his last three matches. He also has some fantastic fixtures coming up over the next several Gameweeks. Because of that and his recent consistency many could be rushing to bring him in, even if it means upgrading from another Newcastle defensive option.
