Catching up with the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 7 could be both fun and insightful. The experts cover some of the key topics ahead of the new round which could help bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

The biggest moment of Gameweek 6 came via Cole Palmer (£10.6m). Many within the community felt a tricky fixture against Brighton meant an opportunity to switch the Chelsea star out for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) who faced newly promoted side Leicester.
What appeared to be a clever switch quickly became a nightmare for those that made the move. The Blues notched up four goals against Brighton and it was Palmer who netted each and every one of them. His outstanding performance meant he raked in a huge 25 points whilst Saka’s assist clawed in just five points.
Palmer faces a run of tough fixtures ahead against the likes of Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and Newcastle. But, based on his recent performance, could Palmer become a shoo-in regardless of fixtures?

It wasn’t just Cole Palmer causing mayhem within the FPL community this week. A lot of the build talk up ahead of Gameweek 6 involved Arsenal’s David Raya (£5.6m). The Spaniard was a doubt ahead of the round but still started the game against Leicester.
In classic FPL form Arsenal conceded to the Foxes which meant those who backed the Arsenal defence failed to secure any significant returns. Many thought that this would be the case for Kai Havertz (£8.2m). But, a goal at the death meant the German came away from the game with six points.
Arsenal have another great opportunity to reward investors this week. The Gooners come against another newly promoted side in Southampton which could see more success for investors.

Erling Haaland (£15.3m) picked up his first blank of the season in Gameweek 6. Manchester City went into their match against Newcastle as heavy favourites. But, the current Champions failed to live up to their billing and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Haaland struggled to get into the game against Newcastle, failing to register a single big chance against the Magpies. However, his performance may not be enough to sway FPL managers against captaining him against Fulham at home this week.

One player who could become a good option in FPL is Everton’s Dwight McNeil (£5.5m). The Toffees clashed with the out of form Crystal Palace this week and came away as 2-1 winners. Heavily involved in the win was McNeil.
McNeil picked up two goals against the Eagles and picked up a huge 15 points in the process. This was frustrating for FPL managers because many who invested in the Everton frontline opted for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£6m) who not only blanked but picked up a yellow card. With great long-term fixtures ahead, starting with a home fixture against Newcastle, both players could have huge potential in FPL.

Wildcarding was the hot topic ahead of Gameweek 6 and many who were pressing the button weren’t sure how deep to invest in the Reds overall. Awkward fixtures against Crystal Palace (A), Chelsea (H), and Arsenal (H) meant many avoided the likes of Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.1m).
It was a mixed performance against Wolves as they edged the strugglers 2-1. The Wolves goal meant Alexander-Arnold and the rest of the defence failed to pick up clean sheet points. But, Salah punished non owners with a 61st minute goal from the spot kick.
