FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 6

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 6. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 6 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FplMode

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Andy tweeted one of the funniest tweets in the community this week. When the Chelsea fixtures were good many decided to pick up Raheem Sterling, his massive 19-point return in Gameweek 3 also contributed towards his appeal. That said Sterling blanked against Nottingham Forest as his side slumped to a 1-0 defeat.

Similar to Sterling, Son Heung-min also managed a massive haul (20 points) recently. Tottenham went ahead and beat Sheffield United 2-1 in the latest round but Son failed to get amongst the returns. With their easiest game on paper played, Son owners will be hoping he can make up for it against the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool next up. Some within the community could also be waiting for Gameweek 8 and onwards where Son faces teams like Luton, Fulham and Wolves to invest.

@FPLMarcin

Content creator Marcin highlighted panic amongst some members of the community this week. Some of the best managers in the world still don’t own Brentford’ Bryan Mbeumo. The Midfielder has been a great asset for owners so far this season but a tough match against Newcastle saw him fail to return any significant points.

That may be the case but non-owners could really need to get a plan together for Mbeumo. He comes up against teams including Everton, Nottingham Forest and Burnley in the next four Gameweek’ and has been maintaining some of the best non-penalty expected data in the division.

@FPL_Harry

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and excellent FPL manager Harry made a very effective transfer this week. Newcastle have been poor in the early stages of the league so far but that could be set to change with a turn of fantastic fixtures ahead.

It was a tight game against Brentford this week but they managed to keep a clean sheet with all of their significant defensive assets bagging decent returns. For those who do not own any Newcastle players, they face Sheffield United, Burnley, and West Ham in the next three matches so it could be wise to make the move.

@Hibbo_FPL

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Hibbo highlighted one of the biggest moments of Gameweek 6 so far. Wolves were hoping to stop a Liverpool side who had scored at least two goals in three of their first four matches. It was a valiant effort for Wolves at the beginning after finding the net. However they failed to convert more great chances and the game slipped away from them.

Liverpool were extremely poor in the first half but hit back in the second half scoring three goals. Amongst them was Mohamed Salah who managed to create two assists which resulted in a 10-point return. Salah is yet to blank in the game after securing points in all five of his matches. Many could be looking to bring the Egyptian in around Gameweek 9 where he plays Everton but Nottingham Forest and Luton after that.

@FPLReaction

Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor Louis emphasised Erling Haaland’ performance against West Ham this week. West Ham struck first in their early game against the league leaders but couldn’t hold on and lost the game 3-1.

Haaland was amongst the goals scored but the Norwegian missed a huge five big chances. That may be the case but he still managed six points when other managers favoured Tottenham assets for the armband. This could make some managers question captaining an alternative option moving forward.
