FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 36

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 36. With the new round approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up to the latest round of Fantasy Premier League.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 36 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FPLMarcin

Fantasy Football content creator and experienced FPL manager touched upon a huge event in Gameweek 35. Manchester City went into the new round as firm favourites against Leeds. Although there were huge question marks over whether star man Erling Haaland (£12.4m) would start, he did exactly exactly.

Manchester City squeezed a 2-1 win in Gameweek 35 but Haaland failed to pick up a significant return. This could potentially open up the door for managers to take a risk with captaincy moving forward. A good opportunity to do that could be a Newcastle asset as they have a double Gameweek in 36.

@FPL_physio

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor Tom highlighted a very important injury in Gameweek 35. Chelsea were hoping to turn the tide of their current form this week after six consecutive losses in all competitions.

The Blues came away with a 3-1 victory but it was not without some loss. Full-back Ben Chilwell (£5.7m) picked up a hamstring injury with no return date set (at the time of writing). Chelsea have a double Gameweek approaching but with another of their key assets out, it could be a double Gameweek managers avoid.

@BakerFPL343

Fantasy Football content creator and experienced FPL manager Baker343 emphasised the fantastic overall performance of one player. Tottenham continue to be a mystery for fans with many not knowing what to expect from them in any given game.

Although inconsistent, Tottenham house one of the best assets in the game with Harry Kane (£11.4m). The striker had a great match against Crystal Palace, ending the game with another goal under his belt and an eight-point return. Managers could well be questioning their decision to sell him especially considering his fantastic consistency. Will those same managers look to bring him back in?

@FPL_Raptor

Fantasy Football content creator Ross has already started to plan his transfers for Gameweek 36. One of the players involved is Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (£7.6m). Once in great form the striker has now blanked in all four of his last Gameweeks.

Watkins could be the loose end many decide to cut from their teams. Newcastle have a double Gameweek ahead and some, like Ross, could be looking to double up in attack with both Callum Wilson (£7.1m) and Alexander Isak (£6.9m).

@FPLFocal

Whilst most of the community chose to captain Erling Haaland who failed to return in Gameweek 35, some, like FPL Focal, looking go different backed Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian hit 10 points in FPL this week due to his goal and bonus.

There could be an interesting decision to make towards the latter stages of the season. Manchester United have a double Gameweek approaching and managers could be looking at selling Salah for Bruno Fernandes (£9.4m). However, taking into account Salah’s three double-digit hauls in his last six Gameweeks, it could be wise to find another route for the Manchester United midfielder.
